Don't hold your breath about the league season starting on aug 17th As I have it on good authority that Barry Utd or whatever there called Will have a representation at the welsh league meeting on Thursday . The reason , injunction stopping any fixtures taking place and putting a hold on Any relegation or promotion issues being discussed .

Can't see it ending well for Barry anyway as none of the players are going to stick around with all of this uncertanty. They will want to secure positions at other clubs or risk being left hunting for a club "at the 11th hour".
Would be quite ironic if they ended up being allowed in the league and then relegated at the end of the season anyway.

They will want to secure positions at other clubs or risk being left hunting for a club "at the 11th hour". The Barry side that played a friendly on Saturday had TEN players in it who played in the Welsh Cup Semi-Final at Newtown. It's not all about "me, myself and I" for everyone at this level. Would be quite ironic if they ended up being allowed in the league and then relegated at the end of the season anyway. That would be fair and not a problem at all, should it be on sporting merit. Lose the bulk of your games and prop up the table, and you go down. That's what football is about - not meetings before meetings and meetings to vote not to have a meeting.

Nor am I insinuating that it's about "me, myself and I" but surely, if you took your Barry tinted glasses off, you could see that SOME players may become a bit edgy not knowing the future of the club!
E.G. I only have the pleasure of knowing two Barry "Town" players and they have both trained with other clubs as well as Barry to keep their options open. No player would want to be left the week before the season starts (which would likely be the case judging by Matt's post above) without a club.
Not saying they will go at all but the risk is surely present!!
Can Barry even sign players until this situation has drawn to a conclusion or are they still classed as a league club until a decision is made?

Those who want to go will go, those who want to stay will stay. There will always be options for these players and people willing to take them. The Barry side has stuck together and is stronger for it. They know the score.

If you're referring to Barry, none are paid. They do a Man of the Match award where a sponsor chucks in £100 and that's it.

Feel free to confirm the above with any Barry player of the past two seasons.

What's all this got to do with saving barry town? Having had a peek at Andrew Edwards letter to clubs the truth is within but I can question why he never brought the issues to the table while he was a serving councillor? There are many freeloaders but his timing is crap to come out and say it!!

His timing is vital - this has needed to be done for so long, but honestly, would any Welsh League clubs even glance at it if this had been 3 seasons ago?
Any of you out there who seem resentful of the Barry Town Utd campaign for justice just ask yourselves what if it was YOUR club? Wouldn't you fight with every resource available to you to get justice?
Then there's the typical response that it would never happen to YOUR club. Well you're wrong. Under the current (corrupt) structure of the FAW council, ANYONE can buy ANY Welsh League club and just shut them down if they feel like it.
This goes beyond being about Barry Town, its about standing up for what is right for Welsh football and doing the right thing to safeguard YOUR clubs future, before someone comes along and tries to wreck it. The FAW should be guardians of the game, protecting it and allowing it to prosper & not allowing nutters with some dodgy loans to buy clubs and shut them down. The FAW have so far failed to do this and therefore change is needed.

Rocky, I was simply ASKING a question as to the player pool that will be available if a last minute decision is made e.g. a week before the season starts.
Said in other threads, don't blame you for one second for appealing because, as you suggested, most clubs would do the same (money permitted) - we have already seen that if you don't appeal you get no-where e.g. Troedyrhiw finished higher than Risca a couple of seasons ago but because Risca appealed they stayed up and Troed still went down.
Don't go all high and mighty acting like martyr's for the clubs though as you are just looking after your interests (which again I don't blame you for). Your quest doesn't make it any better for the 800 odd players in the league who want a game of footie and the fans/committees wanting to see some games (I've done enough shopping this summer already, I want to get back to football :-))

Everyone wants to get back to the football - Barry included.
If certain FAW Councillors hadn't voted to veto the recommendation of the FAW itself (!), none of this would be a problem.

It's official then , legal action against the welsh fa , Don't hold your breath about when the season will start now Just wondering would the people of Barry Utd support any other club in this situation . The answer is no . Just wondering where on earth do they get the money from to launch Injunctions in the high court , you could have used it to buy mr Lovering Out and saved all of us the boring antics and repeated justice for Barry calls . Can't wait for us to have a bad season in div 1 this year , guess what we will withdraw And set up under another name Good for one club good for all Lets see if you support us then , I dought it

So far off the mark on so many points that I don't know where to begin.
If you'd followed the story properly, you'd know exactly how wrong you are.
In the meantime, Google is your friend.
The truth will out.
