Yes,we do have a tier 2 licence. Yes, we are using Leckwith to start the season. This club has huge ambition to make a mark on Welsh football. We are not some mercenary franchise trying to buy success. We are still run by a small dedicated bunch of volunteers. We are an open club who will welcome anyone who would like to come down. We have got Ammanford at USW on May 23 @ 18-30.

This year a ground share next year a chance of name to USW Pontypridd.
I'm sure playing in Leckwith will make it easier to attract some more of the Cardiff circuit players before the university boys take over the following year.
Just a personal hunch

You can see why supporters would be annoyed but these developments introduced by the FAW would and have cost clubs thousands! Its crazy these clubs are expected to do this...it's not like they are sat on huge sums of money or making any for that case. Huw summed it up a few weeks back 8£ taken on the gate with officials costing close to 150£. It's just not financially viable. Ponty, stm, ammanford cannot afford to make the requirements and are probably not allowed to as they do not own their own grounds! Annoying yes, But in a position where nothing else can be done to progress than source a ground share for now. I do worry for the long term and not just these clubs, mine also!

Is this welsh football anarchy and chaos the reason we keep loving it? Cos we all keep coming back for more!!

Personally I disagree with PT Ultra.
A football club should represent somewhere or it becomes, in the words of PT Ultra, a "mercenary franchise" putting "huge ambition" to make a mark on Welsh Football above all else (including links with the Town it supposedly represents.)
If a club is willing to sell its soul to achieve its "huge ambition," that is not for me I'm afraid. I think majormoments, is correct in that it's only a matter of time before Pontypridd Towns identity gets swallowed by USW. Whose ambition does this serve? The Committee? The Supporters? The Players? The Managers?

Good point, who are the clubs there for ? I was always taught " football without fans is nothing " . When Graig Fc and Hopkinstown ,as well as Treforest etc pull more local fans than Pontypridd Town doesnt someone need to ask why ? And why is this of little interest to the club ? Either way to describe a move to LECKWITH as a " great achievment " shows how little the club cares about Pontypridd. So in essence they are using the name of the town to further personal ambition and for other reasons unclear. I have been described as a Johnny come lately and not being a real fan because Ive genuine and real concerns. Anyone who knows me will tell you that my love of the game is massive. My Welsh Flag proudly says PONTYPRIDD .and has done for nearing on 30 years.

rct is spot on , who are the brothers trying to kid , it's not about anything else other than themselves. Ponty will be dead within three seasons of my opinion only !

As far as I can see and in my opinion that the team playing under the banner of Pontypridd Town afc will have nothing to do with Pontypridd in name or personnel. It will become a club with no history and as previously mentioned will probably have a name change and fail to exist as PT afc. Not a format I would wish to be part of and totally understand why some people are unhappy with what appears to be a mercenary/nomad club. Just my opinion.

Ponty move temporarily from RCT to Cardiff: Universally given pelters. STM move temporarily from Cardiff to RCT: No one even notices. Ammanford move temporarily from Sir Caerfyrddin to Neath Port Talbot (10 junctions on the M4): Met with universal silence.
I understand a lot of people have grievances with the above, but come on - this does all seem to be aimed at one team when others are doing the same thing.
