Why are stones thrown at Pontypridd all the time and not the likes of STM and Ammanford...why do you think? People within the club believe it’s because people are jealous and want to drag them down. Isn’t it strange that a team like Penydarren do well and people show their support, STM do well and people applaud, Llanelli do well and people congratulate. The reason these few teams names get applauded is because they don’t continue to blow smoke up their own arses. Penydarren are a hard working club who have had a fairytale story, STM have a Chairman who has worked hard to build a club who have progressed through the leagues and people appreciate the style in which they play football with local players. Llanelli have an ex pro who is helping the League statute and is one of the nicest guys taking the time when he goes to every away club to have photos with young supporters and actually talk to the opposition and stay for a pint. Ponty however, win and they are the best thing since sliced bread...however lose and you hear nothing. Bang on about a club run by small handful of volunteers, if it’s that tough then pay those poor people some of the money which is dished out to everyone else at the club. I’ve heard that STM don’t want to go up as they don’t want to lose their identity by playing at Taffs Well, if true that is the best decision they have ever made. It doesn’t lack ambition but gives them another year to work towards ridiculous FAW demands. Everyone knows about the money at Ponty and this clearly isn’t the real issue, the issues is the arrogance from management and the Chairman, they don’t give a shit about Pontypridd as a town and only care about collecting their money and boosting their reputations and egos. Chairman needs to stop moaning and just get on with getting the club into Europe which has been their plan all along, if that doesn’t work just pass the club onto USW and enjoy watching some quality football played by very good players. Enjoy it, stop reading the posts if you don’t like people speaking their opinions and pull your head out your arses. If people don’t like what is happening at the club think to yourself why...will tell you for free it isn’t because you win games!!
And last point, management have never given a shit about the youth players I their “youth team”, local players or anything other than them winning and looking for opportunities where they can make the next bit of money. Without money their current players wouldn’t be playing for them and that’s a fact.

You are out of order there fella, Nicky is local and has done a lot in the past to help run Ponty behind the scenes, he’s only recently moved away. His comments are perfectly valid. Hes moved away over a year.He comes down on the side of the club every single time,my comments are valid. Why dont you name yourself Uncle Fester ? Well tell us then, which one of Pontypridd's seemingly thousands of FAW approved Tier 2 grounds would you move the team to for a year?

I’ve heard that Pontypridd Town application to ground share with Bangor was rejected!!!
What a shambles of a club they are as they move yet again and this time to Cardiff - shouldn’t be allowed!!!
However the chuckle brothers at the helm have their own agenda and as long as their profile remains high the so be it.
The league and FA should hang their heads in shame. Yes allow a club to ground share but at least in the area the club supposedly represents. JOKE!!!!

So you are against ground sharing. What about the other clubs ? It was the FAW who mentioned this to clubs who wished to obtain Tier 2 Certification.I am sure all the ground share clubs tried everywhere to find a suitable ground and the ones they got were the nearest to their club. Maybe the clubs should have used you as an agent to find the best ground. I will repeat no club wanted to move from their grounds.

Personally against ground sharing especially where clubs spend their money on players and not facilities.
Have some sympathy with STM as they have progressed so quickly for a new club.
I also know Ammanford plan to return to their ground and have the money to upgrade.
Pontypridd however have left the town and this will be their third ground in 3 seasons.

Well tell us then, which one of Pontypridd's seemingly thousands of FAW approved Tier 2 grounds would you move the team to for a year? There is debate as to wether the club needed to move from Ynysyngharad Park in the first place . That there were no grounds able to be developed in the Pontypridd area. It has cost Pontypridd Town more money in rent than at the Park with lost income and far worse conditions for supporters. There are NO plans for a new ground at USW and a proviso into the move to USW was a name change(another thing we were promised wouldnt happen ) There is no time limit at Leckwith as there is no concrete plan for USW. And I like many others doubt the club will return or even if they do as Pontypridd Town . You Nicky have jumped onto every thread Ive ever posted asking questions of the club. So as your part of the inner sanctum you have any views on what Ive said ?

How many people are watching Pontypridd now? I went to the game against Croesyceiliog in September. My headcount was 32 and I knew that at least 19 of them were either from Croesy or were neutral visitors like me. Which is shocking to the fans from Pontypridd but apparently of no concern to the people running the club. Theyd rather read and listen to the drivel written by Clwb Peldroed claiming Pontypridd Town are rivalling the Rugby Club.

So if someone who represents the club in an official capacity could explain why,a year after the move to USW there are no plans still in place for any new ground at USW then id appreciate that as would others. I have of course many other questions but Id settle for that. RCT council have no knowledge of any such plan or application ? Just wondering like ? As for Max,maybe youd like to out every single person on here who is against the clubs move and has issues with how its been dealt with ?

They dont want input or intereference that might not agree with them in every way ,Rob and Tony are good lads. People have made suggestions, offered to help, they dont want it. I was told by the "commercial manager " LOL that they only wanted a "certain calibre of person" Myself and a few other fans helped paint the ground a few days before the move to USW was announced. We raised the money for the paint ourselves. We have promoted the club constantly and what do we get ? marginalized and treated like second class citizens by our own club. There are people at Pontypridd Town who should hang their heads in shame but the problem is they have no shame. 4 people on a committee who rarely meet.have no minutes and one of the members of said committee is the manager ? You couldnt make it up could you ?

There are people at Pontypridd Town who should hang their heads in shame but the problem is they have no shame. 4 people on a committee who rarely meet.have no minutes and one of the members of said committee is the manager ? You couldnt make it up could you ?Well this pretty much sums things up, the clubs set up had been designed to accommodate the management. It is total control for the management. Clubs in Wales require those volunteers and hats off to people like yourself who want to be involved with your local club. The chairman clearly has blinkers on though and until he removes his head from managements arse the club will struggle to find an identity. I think Ponty would go on and win promotion from League 1 when they get there next season but what happens then? Back to USW for this phantom pitch or stay in Cardiff? If the volunteers and good people at the club continue with their efforts for the good of the club it seems they will soon be pushed out because those who are there for the money or to boost their egos will want to jut make decisions which suit them. A better offer comes in or any sign of stagnation and cheerio Pontypridd town football club. Totally agree with your comment on the forum about the club more interested in stories on how successful the season has been etc. Biggest budget in the league, great set up, good players...battling for promotion. Should have won this league with ease given the quality of the players and the qualifications of the management team. Can only applaud the likes of Ammanford and Llantwit major who build structure for the clubs to succeed in their town. These two clubs fully deserve praise and from what I know of STM I applaud their chairman and management for choosing another season in league 2 to give themselves time to prepare a suitable (and local) pitch which will see them progress in the future restructure.

It might not be very fashionable but Im a fan of Pontypridd Town firstly,But a close second a fan of Welsh Football.Last night I had a very enjoyable evening watching Vale United v Bleanrhondda.Im not blinkered enough to think my club do everything right and are the best persee.Pontypridd Town are closing in on promotion to div 1 and I very much hope its acheived. But the cost has been to high for many.Pontypridd/Ynysybwl have already had a succesfull div 1 side without resorting to the measures we have today. And a regular crowd of Pontypriddians of around 100 would watch.Football without fans is nothing !

I heard through good authority that the FAW are moving their Welsh Woman’s Squad and it’s Academies to USW. The 1000 seater 3G is to be built next to the indoor on wgat is currently a rugby pitch. Maybe this is the pitch that Pontypridd are hoping to secure the following year.
It’s all a shambles the sharing we are still playing games into May so how can these pitches take this much usage when we can’t finish season now

Agree on the state of pitches. However Ponty had to postpone a game at USW this season due to the state on the pitch which was given as another reason why we moved from Ynysyngharad Park. Im not a massive fan of 3 or 4 g pitches. However Cambrian And Clydach games were on when nothing else was.

The grass pitch Ponty play on at USW is superb and maintained to a very high standard. A few of our supporters have said that Ponty Park is in a very poor state due to lack of maintenance.Piqueblinders3 is quite right with his information about the new 3G Facility which is what we have been told from the beginning. The changing rooms have already been built and are to a very high standard. This new facility will be at Tier 1/2 Level.

Yes but not for Pontypridd Town. USW are not going to provide this facility out of the goodness of their hearts. Give it two years and Ponty will be gone, first USW Pontypridd then USW. Beware the ambitions of the messiahs, all that glitters is not gold.
