Not only are they performing like a parks team they’re also operating like one too. Last night they took another hammering, this time at Cardiff Met. Nothing unusual there but they could only muster up a 13 man squad. For semi professional level that is unbelievable and embarrassing. So much for all their hype when they won promotion!!

Right let's get things straight, you obviously know nothing about what has happened since the start of the season. Kyle Graves was injured in the 1st game and is out for the season. 4 players have left due to lack of playing time. 1 has retired due to injury. 1 has been sacked due to a disgraceful attitude. We can't sign anyone until January 1st. We can't sign from our youth team either due to a stupid rule. Plus we seem to be a marked team by every ref in the league. Get you facts right before bumping your gums on here.

Teams can't win on here, if Llanelli had chosen to stay in Div1 and possibly winning it again, they would have been "trolled" for lack of ambition and denying other "ambitious" teams. Llanelli have competed in many WPL matches this season and got results against some, including draw against 2nd in league. Hope they can strengthen in Jan, they have opportunity to make relegation a real dog - fight.
However most importantly in my view is that they along with all other clubs manage within their financial capabilities.
Good luck to Llanelli and all clubs going into 2019.

So why leave yourselves so short? Going into the WPL with no contingency for these problems shows a complete attitude of amateurism. I don’t see other clubs in the same boat ! Wow wow wow, if there's one thing you don't level at domestic Welsh football it's amateurism.

No contingency? We started the season with 19 1st team players. We have lost 6 since then and thanks to the stupid transfer window we can't sign anyone until January 1st, but welsh league clubs can sign our players. How is that fair?

It’s fair in the sense that the same rule applies to every other club in the WPL. 19 players clearly weren’t enough because that’s why you’re in shit street now. quote author=" mikeyred" source="/post/21059/thread" timestamp="1544974063"]No contingency? 19 players is what was affordable. We've learnt our lesson of living within our means. If we end up going down at least we have tried to better ourselves. Shame others don't have the same ambition.

Seems a strange rule not being able to register youth players.
In future I am sure you will register a few at the start of the season to be on the safe side.
Good luck for the rest of the season

Well that means you couldn’t afford to go into the WPL. Whoever thought that 19 registered players would be sufficient needs his head read. If you couldn’t afford more players then you should not have gone up. I find it incredulous that someone thought that 19 players would be ok for a semi professional league. Even more incredulous the fact that nobody challenged the decision because clearly it was a ridiculous bit of foresight. Naming a 13 man squad for a Welsh Premier League is basically bringing the league into disrepute. A disgrace. If you’ve got 25 players signed on youth forms why didn’t you sign some on Senior forms?? You are now going to tell me that you didn’t know the rule about not being able to sign your youth boys up to seniors during the season - that’s further evidence of the ineptitude of the clubs administration. I have no pleasure in saying this but your club are not fit for purpose in the WPL. This is the top league in Wales and on paper the equivalent of the English Premiership. Can you imagine Tottenham only naming 2 subs (and kids at that) . . 19 players is what was affordable. We've learnt our lesson of living within our means. If we end up going down at least we have tried to better ourselves. Shame others don't have the same ambition.

Whatever thoughts Llanelli had are surely not as incredulous as someone believing the WPL "on paper the equivalent of the English Premiership" , the English Premiership with its £4.5 Billion revenue generation !!

At least Llanelli play at their own ground unlike Spurs
Probably not the best club to use to make a point

In the eyes of UEFA the WPL is the flagship of football in this country, likewise the Premiership in England. Ok the WPL is Mickey Mouse compared to the Premiership but it is what it is. As for spurs not having their own ground I find that statement laughable because they are constructing a stadium that will be the envy of clubs around Europe. The seating is fantastic, apparently they used Windmill Lane’s level seating as a model !!

They were meant to be in the stadium months ago so it is incompetence, which you have levelled at a club with a mere fraction off their budget. As for windmill lane it might be a bus shelter but it was delivered on time
