Just my .02. as someone who was at the game yesterday, let me tell you that the match officials have nothing to answer in this game. Every decision they gave, every offside, and also when the assistants were called on by a very experienced Ref(in my opinion) they gave correct and valid advice. Llantwit calling for a stamp on the guys head towards the end of the game as evidenced in the video, the Lino saw nothing and what the video doesnt show is the guy sitting up smilling at the bench. Listen to the grief the Lino is getting.... no wonder we struggle for good officials in this league. He kept up with play the whole game. The video tells a story, two teams with poor discipline who were clearly up for some friendly rivalry, all spilled over. The fan on the bench that was garappling with the Penybont guy, if it is true he is banned then he should not have even been in the ground. The FAW will surely look at this and act appropraitely.
One further thing, the guy next to me was a welsh league official observer, there to asses and review both the referee and his assistants, he was making notes so anything that they may have done incorrectly would have been noted and fedback. I am sure he will report into the league also
As i said just my .02

Fair analysis although I still think they let too much go or didn't see some off the ball stuff.
That being said we would probably have moaned if he got his cards out early.
The Llantwit fan isn't banned but you was I upg indicated someone on the Penybont bench was

The actual 90minutes wasnt even that bad, there was 4 sendings off, but on another day and another ref it could of quite easily been none, thats not to say the ref was to blame. Whats seen on the video is a bit of handbags but still shouldnt of happened where there are kids. Off the pitch it was only a llantwit fan and members of penybont coaching staff/waterboy. On the pitch at the final whistle nothing really happened some pushing, something you see every other week in the welsh league, this seems to have got out of hand just because its been caught on video. Not much too report, get over it.

The guy who was with camera, seemed a bit suprised and he being a "groundhopper" i suspect has watched many matches. "On the pitch at the final whistle nothing really happened some pushing, something you see every other week in the welsh league". Over the years I have played in and watched many WL (mainly div 1) matches and have rarely witnessed such behaviour, let alone every other week. Trust such behaviour is not going to spread to Div 1, with new teams coming through the leagues.

For clarity on the GroundHopper film, the guy who initially shoves the L Major fan ain't a water boy but an unused Penybont substitute. The guy in the tracksuit who later hurls the "fan" towards the fence is allegedly a suspended member of the Penybont management team. "Major Moments" says "Not much to report, get over it". Somehow I think the blazer boys at the FAW will probably think otherwise.

Response to majormoments
Where is the embarrasment ? Statement of fact about my experiences of Div 1., an opinion on the comments made by groundhopper filming and your comments prsumably experienced by you, whilst I suspect mainly watching LM through WL 3 and 2. It is simply my my wish that I do not witness such behaviour become an "every other week" experience in DIV 1.

Have Llantwit replaced your club in division 1.
What exactly do you blame the club before.
Yes 3 players sent off, same as Bala yesterday.
Penybont bench go into the crowd to 'assault'soneobe shouting abuse. Is that Llantwit's fault.
The club has worked very hard to get where they are raising all funds themselves.
On the pitch 2 successive titles which doesnt happen often, probably the first without paying.
3 young players regularly involved in WPL from our youth section.
Large numbers of boys and girls playing every week in youth and minis
I would say that is exactly the type of club we should want in Welsh football and I am sure lessons will be learnt from Saturday.

I have not blamed LM for anything (point out where you thing i have) , was concerned about your statement of seeing this stuff every other week. I just hope it does not materialise on such a regular basis in WL1. I have as stated watched a fair amount of WL1 games and I can honestly say that hard fought games I have witnessed end in handshakes all round, friendly chat as leaving pitch and a welcome in bar after, just hope it continues. I am not associated with any club, but mainly follow WL1 clubs that have easy access via public transport.
Will watch LM later in season when they visit such a ground and I am confident, I will enjoy match and atmosphere.

It looks like a few of the Penygriff boys are under the influence of Hoffmeisterpiss. Embarrassing stuff and in my opinion Griff has overstepped the mark for the last time at Penybont. How can the players and management staff be controlled when the manager himself lets himself and the club down yet again. Leading by example springs to mind and surely now is the time for Emlyn to grow a set of bollocks and make the sensible decision to part company with a manager that is clearly a liability. Griff isn’t following the terms of a managers job description. End of.

Wondered when Voggie would come in + have his sixpennth on the unsavoury events that unfolded on his Vale of Glam beat. I just wondered whether that was Voggie in the film being abused by the Bont sub + later a member of the managment team. Have to agree on the booze situation.........when Penybont visit the ground a return to the warm cans from the hatch would cut down on the amount of booze going down necks. Ironically, though Griffiths couldn't do anything about the handbags at the end as he'd already been sent off + was enjoying an early shower. Have to agree with Voggie though to save the "good name" of the Bont brand they have to get rid of Griffiths + his pals even if it does cost them any chance of getting into the Welsh Prem next season. The game in Bridgend must be bigger than the likes of Griffiths + his chums, who have badly stained the game in the town.

Everyone can be excused for a misdemeanour but Griff just keeps doing it. Once he’s involved in ill discipline that’s end of sports. Managers can “lose the dressing room” but Griffs awful behaviour and example setting have meant that the dressing room has lost the manager. The Welsh league would be a better place without managers of his ilk. His attitude and behaviour is totally unacceptable and in keeping with an unruly sunday league clogger

In fairness to the manager, he was sent off for 2 bookings, although he could of had 3 or 4.
He also ignored the provocation when leaving the pitch and was not anywhere near the unsavoury scenes after the match.
No idea if he has previous but can't blame everything on him on Saturday.

and there lies the problem. He was nowhere near the incident at the end due to his earlier ill discipline for being sent off yet again. Any manager worth his salt would have been trying to diffuse the situation or have a policy in place where this sort of thing doesn’t happen. Instead he is part of a culture that finds thuggish behaviour to be acceptable and “part of the game”. His position as manager at Penybont FC is now 100% untenable without absolutely any shadow of doubt. Don’t forget, he gets renumerated for his role. Yes paid for bringing the club into disrepute. He cannot distance himself from what happened on Saturday. He is the leader and is responsible for performance, results and conduct. so he’s hardly an example to any of the Penybont teams under him from age 7 to 37. In fairness to the manager, he was sent off for 2 bookings, although he could of had 3 or 4. He also ignored the provocation when leaving the pitch and was not anywhere near the unsavoury scenes after the match. No idea if he has previous but can't blame everything on him on Saturday.
