All the money spent on journeymen and not the club.
What has happened to all that money they made from the talk sport game that could of been used at least partially on the youth /junior / woman's team
Again my hunch is all gone on paying managers and players.
Imagine if they still don't go up after that investment.

I think they’ll be ok, STM don’t seem to want it.

Well,I think it is about time I spoke about our club that a few people have continually criticised. The first point is that clubs who have had to seek ground share arrangements do so because of the FAWs new Tier 2 Certification and the clubs ambition to play at a higher level. If the clubs had a choice they would have preferred to have stayed at their own grounds. Our club Pontypridd Town fc as probably most people know, tried very hard to stay in the Park and also tried other alternatives without success. We approached USW to play on their Welsh League pitch which Bridgend Town used a number of seasons before.USW also said a new 3G pitch and Grandstand would be built for the following season which we would move to.We have found that since being at USW we are getting better crowds than at Ynysangharad and the playing surface is perfectly maintained as many clubs have mentioned. All the comments by Pasti alias Pontyultra is a continuation of complaints and individual insults especially to our Managers Dominic and Damien Broad. Since being involved in football I have had the pleasure of working with the late Les Dickerson, George Wood and Lyn Jones who were all brilliant Managers. For anybody to rubbish our Managers on their ability and character can only point to a complete lack of knowledge and intelligence. Both these guys have put in so much for Ponty both on and off the pitch and their squad and our committee would never swop them for anybody else. I have been with Pontypridd Town since 2004 and since Dom and Damien have been with the club it has been a great experience for everybody both on and off the pitch. Finally I would ask all those who are highly critical of Ponty that they let us all know on this Forum their real names, if they have ever been on a football club committee and a dissertation of a thousand words with the Title 'Why do I like making inane comments'

I have recently been made aware of this thread and thought it was in my interests to correct some details. I am part of Pontypridd Towns youth section, firstly our side of the club are run by a different committee to the first team and over the years we as a youth section have grown not diminished. We currently have teams at every age group other than U11s and U13s, we do have a youth side who play in the South Wales Youth League (We will have two next season). We also do have U12s side (I should know as I’m the coach of them). Our senior side have unfortunately not been aloud to be promoted to a higher division due to our affiliation with the first team. As of tonight our senior side will no longer be part of Pontypridd Town and will form a new team for next season, to allow them to gain access to the higher divisions

I just don't understand Craig why people should be so critical of other clubs who are all trying to do their best.I have never criticised another club on this forum so maybe I am doing something wrong.

People have their opinions Max, they are allowed. You’ll see on another post where I have supported the ground sharing as you really had no choice. Others don’t like it, but that’s their business.
Get yourself on a Cardiff Or Swansea forum for example and see what people think on there about each other’s club, this is tame by comparison.
This isn’t a little club for WL committee people where everyone should get along nicely, it’s a public forum where anyone can share their views. People are free to agree/disagree/ignore as they see fit.
If I were you I would simply ignore the comments, it will blow over in a couple of weeks.

I saw your message Craig, especially the first part about ground share and I was about to give you the thumbs up sign. When I continued to read your comments regarding our club I was deeply disappointed. Max

Hello Wlman, close but not quite right this is R Wheeler. Just want people to know the facts about the youth section. As for our senior side we are beginning to put a plan in place for next season over the coming weeks.

I have some sympathy here. There is nowhere suitable in Pontypridd where they can play. The council will not allow any improvements at Ynysanghard Park. The council hide behind he covenant placed on the park about no development. However, despite not being allowed to have a car park in the park, have have cleared some land for a car park, which is used as a car park, they’ve just called in an “Event Space” instead of a car park. Three years ago the club made moves to take over the Maritime Astroturf facility, but that wasn’t big enough for WL standards and there isn’t enough space there to build and the costs would have been astronomical. I believe that plan is to return to the Uni once the new ground is built, so the move to Leckwith is no worse than STM’s plan to share with Taffs Well it Ammanford’s plan to share with Bryon Ferry on a temporary basis. As for managers on the committee, you need to understand how few people are involved in running clubs in the WL, some are almost 1 man bands, so you have to have whoever is willing in order to run a club, if that means the manager too then so be it. As for local players, there aren’t any. The only 1 who came up from the junior/youth system a couple of years ago left as he wasn’t getting the game time he felt he needed. He’s playing WL football out of the area. Part of the problem is the Cambrian academy who snap up all the best players in RCT at a young age, which is nothing against them, they’ve made a success of their academy so good for them. As for the Junior section, they’ve gone downhill in the last couple of years, no youth team, no u12, no u13. 3 years ago they had all teams up to youth plus local Saturday team (currently doing well believe), Sunday League and ladies team (who have now gone to Porth) along with an u13 girls team (now disbanded). You have to ask what is going wrong there. It could be a massive club in the area if run properly. Pontypridd Town have been consitently offered by help by fans they like to keep everything in their control that way no one can possibly disagree with them
