So for the uneducated what does it all mean. Pontypridd cannot go up ?? does that save a div 1 club or go to next in div 2

LOoks like the 2 clubs in Div 1 who failed he criteria will go down (Caerau Ely and Monmouth), but promotion depends on final league places in D2. If Ponty (or any other team who did not get Tier 2 licence) finish in the top 3, they can’t go up.
Under normal rules teams finishing outside the top 3 cannot be promoted even if teams above them cannot go up. So depending on final D2 table, 1,2 or 3 teams may go up. If fewer than 3 go up, D1 will have to run with fewer than 16 teams unless the league agree to promote teams who finished outside the top 3 but have the licence.
Possibly all subject to appeals as well.
The AGM should be fun.

I'm also assuming there is going to be an appeals process to go through too.
Looks like a saving grace for Ton Pentre to remain in division 1.

Pontypridd or any other club who finish in the top three who havnt achieved Tier 2 can still get promoted aslong as they ground share for a season while they develop their own ground.

I believe that would need to have been in place by 30th April, which is what STM, Ammanford etc. have done. I don’t believe they can go up as they have been refused a licence at the deadline.

That’s how I read it too. There’s no note next to Ponty for example saying which ground they’ve dominated, unlike Ammanford and Celtic etc.

I believe Alun at Abergavenny wanted to know in readiness for next season what was required to gain the license, applying and getting turned down would give you that information

I don't think so it's ok as long as the ground your going to play on is the ground you register when you fill in your league registration details.as I know the league inspected leckwith stadium for Pontypridd and it was measured and passed

Sorry I replied to the wrong post.
