Well, with the majority of their first fan owned season in the sun under their collective belts, it's looking like Barry could and should stay up. A massive achievement. Mathematical safety will be achieved with just 2 points from their remaining 7 games. So, I think most would accept there's a good chance they're staying up.
But not 'just' staying up. Right now they lie in that 6th / 7th spot that potentially means a shot at europe. Imagine that, the team that the Welsh FA tried to close down, representing in europe!
Then there's the Wales C international call ups for 4 players. I'm sure there's an element of home townism from the selection, but 4 players just underlines the potential in that squad.
Hopefully, with Carmarthen getting themselves together lately, they'll manage to stay up. Would be nice to see the league balance tilt a little closer to the south. The north have had the control for a long time and essentially done nothing with it. Other than allow a team that plays in england with no fan base to hoover up the money.
Hopefully, the Cardiff Met example isn't going to be replicated too closely by the other Uni's, because it's no thrill playing at Met against a team with no back story.
At least a Llanelli or Port Talbot has a fan base and you can look forward to the bantzzz.
Come on in folks, the water's fine.

Sorry to burst your obvious Barry bubble, but the highest you can finish this season is 7th place. A very good position for your first Premier season, but no chance of European football. Due to the stupidity of a twelve team league and the mid season split even if you win all your remaining fixtures and the team in 6th place lose all theirs they can't be over taken. As far as WL1 is concerned only Llanelli and Haverfordwest have a realistic chance of WPL football and H'west don't want it (if only 12 teams). Llanelli seam to be slipping of late, will the loss of their GK to Sweden cost them?

I believe Hav'west may have changed their mind on the promotion thing. They've certainly applied for the license for next season.

I believe Hav'west may have changed their mind on the promotion thing. They've certainly applied for the license for next season. They did this last year as well, on the basis that if they won the league they would refuse the associated promotion until the WPL grew to at least 16 teams. I believe they are doing the same this year.

No the board at Havwest have stated that they have changed their stance and are actively seeking promotion to the WPL this season if they get a top 2 finish and finish above Llanelli.

Good on them that their moral objection only lasted a season Nah, in all seriousness - good to see them change their mind.

Mathematically achieved staying in the WPL yesterday, following a shakey start due to an awful M4. Credit to all for delaying the kick off. This year's big target has now been achieved.
Need Carmarthen to stay up now.

Need Carmarthen to stay up now. I think Carmarthen are done now, as much as I'd like them to stay up (but not at the cost of Aber ) After losing to Barry and Aber picking up 3pts against Newtown - Camarthen are 11 points behind Aber in 10th with only 15 points left to play for. (Granted one of these games is actually against Aber) - but I think Carmarthen are all but relegated....

Yes, it was the thinnest of thin hopes that Carmarthen could stay up AND be joined by another south wales team. Just to get the balance between north and south beginning to look a little healthier. But yes, you're right, if two are going down then one will be Carmarthen.
Credit to them for delaying the match on Friday. If they keep key players and budget, they could return quite swiftly.

Lead by example. The team should always follow their manager. That’s why Carmarthen Town are going “down” Yes, it was the thinnest of thin hopes that Carmarthen could stay up AND be joined by another south wales team.
