Blimey talk about blinkered. AE wasn't all correct and neither was he all wrong. Its bigger than personalities but obviously some people are still carrying baggage rom the early nineties. The main point he made which has some salience is that we are an independent league and should be proactive and confident. We ain't! And Yorath...worth a thread in its own right.

Clubs in the Welsh League voted at the AGM not to leave the Pyramid structure of the FAW. Now with less than 6 weeks before the start of the season the FAW have still not sorted the appeal of Clubs against ground criteria? surely there has to be a common sense approach from someone. I feel for the Clubs who have fallen foul of a wrong decision in relegating the number of Clubs but we all knew what was going to happen ao why delay the inevitable sorry but Clubs are in limbo and you are turning them against you.

I couldn't agree more!
Clubs I once had respect for are fast going down in my estimation!
FAW need to look at themselves too. Half of their own pyramid is in limbo and still they sit on their lazy freeloading A**es doing nothing rather than hearing these appeals - or even confirming a date!
Absolutely diabolical! We are looking like a parks football league to the entire country!

And I am with Totally Bemused - the man who sacked Yorath as Manager should not even be listened to on his views on football let alone supported!!
He clearly has an axe to grind with the FAW too by the way!!

I think the reason that the FAW appeal dates havent been given is that they now realise that the Welsh League Management Committee have broken every rule in the book and are struggling for grounds for their defence.
Quite frankly, I think the Management Committee have no option but to resign as a group, due to their scandalous actions.

As was said You are obviously from one of the five Clubs who have fallen foul of a rash decision but please you need to face up to the fact that all the Clubs had their say at the consultation meeting, agm last year and the egm but to be quite frank once again accept your fate and try and bounce back asap. How and why on earth were certain Clubs at this years agm represented by their Manager and not their Secretary i.e Pontyclyn is beyond belief. Managers/Players come and go Secretary's carry the flag time and time again.

These teams are fighting for their Welsh League survival here, just put yourself in their shoes for one minute, wouldn't you do the best for YOUR club? I know that I would.
I'm totally bemused that people are not rallying around to help and support these clubs. We've all had our grievances with the FAW and know what a shambles they have made of so many things. Why reduce the league to 16 teams anyway? Can anyone enlighten me as to how this will improve Welsh football?

I do have sympathy for these Clubs as mentioned in my previous post. But my point is that Clubs voted for the reduction at the 2009 AGM. I for one was totally opposed to the reduction in one season and voted accordingly with Ammanford FCs proposol of reduction over two or three seasons. Now that those Clubs who voted for reduction in one season find themselves in that relegation zone has now come back to haunt them. Of course I would do anything to save my own Club and as mentioned sympathise with all five but where does it all stop and when are all the other Clubs supposed to know where they stand and all the other Leagues on fixtures and compositions of Divisions in time for season 2010-11?

I don't remember there being any choice one season or 3 seasons?
You have to admit though ground criteria was what was agreed clubs would be judged on first?
Armed with this knowledge Treodyrhiw spent £10k on a new stand to get their ground up to the ground criteria, only to find the goalposts had been moved and ground criteria was not NOW going to be used.
The League set up a committee to go around and check all the grounds, but when asked why this had not happened Ken Tucker said that there was on way that they could do this only being an amateur league. Why set up the committee in the first place? Now in my book say there were 3 people on this committee 54 grounds if they all went to a game each Saturday, thats not even going to take up until Christmas.
I understand that clubs are trying to plan for next season, we are one of the clubs in one of the worst scenarios, i have players ringing me constantly asking if we've heard anything, but its the FAW that's stalling, WHAT COULD BE MORE IMPORTANT NOW THAN HEARING THESE CLUBS APPEALS, IT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED 2 WEEKS AGO.

Some Clubs who have fell into the relegation trap from the first and second obviously have support for the teams dropping out of the third division as if they win their case, they wont be relegated if they are not in the bottom three. Why some clubs are panicking is that the fickle players who have not re-signed will move on if they are indeed relegated to a lower division leaving clubs to go out and try to sign new players with pre-season training already starting with most clubs. Hope the mess is sorted out soon.

Just thought I would confirm for those who think that they must have just missed it - no there has still been no date se for the appeal as of this morning!
I thought it beggared belief last week - now I just cannof find a word to describe what this is becoming!
If we were a laughing stock last week - what are we as a league now?

Makes me laugh carollyn your ground is not even up to welsh league standard ,your stand is condemned by health and safety and you have no permanent dugouts.
If i was you i would concentrate on the football instead of the politics.

I think perhaps our chairwoman needs to worry about how the teams plays on the pitch then we wouldnt be bleeting would we!
Perhaps she needs to remember the old saying .... 'People in glass houses!'
