What's going to happen to promotion & relegation now that Neath have been relegated from the WPL. Do they come back to the WL div 1 (assuming they find a ground). If so, does that mean a extra team will go down from each division. Also, if the rumours are true that Afan Lido want to come back, could that mean that a extra 2 go down.

I'd say D1 will run with an extra club for a season. It would be very harsh for a team to be safe one minute and relegated the next.
Pardon the pun but that would be moving the goalposts mid-season. Decreasing the delegation zone is okay, but not increasing it!

It wouldnt be the first time for that to happen as we all know.

all the welsh league division 1 clubs have known that there was a possibility of 4 teams being relegated. the original scenario surrounded carmarthen coming down and whether or not haverfordwest would achieve promotion in their place.
now that neath are down, saving carmarthen, all eyes are on taffs well. if they beat caerau ely by 2 goals and achieve 2nd place, haverfordwest will miss out on promotion and 4 teams will be relegated. this would see aberaman go down with the other 3 relegated teams.
(i think this is correct anyway!)

I guess that means AFC Llwydcoed are potentially doomed as well then?

(i think this is correct anyway!) If Haverfordwest didnt go up then Carmarthen wouldnt be relegated so only 3 teams would have gone down. Seems really unfair that because of Neath clubs in the Welsh League will suffer. As well as Aberaman in Division One, one of the teams in Division Two will also suffer (Buds or Caerau). Easiest option is to put Neath in Division Three as theres a space there due to Llangeinor dropping out! interesting times ahead....!!!

Neath should go back to the Neath lge and start again simples, why should other clubs suffer for their ineptitude. Season aint gonna start on time is it !!!!!

A bit harsh on Neath Huw. They tried to give their supporters football at the highest level in Wales and finally failed. They worked very hard to get there a few years ago and deserved their opportunity.

They worked very hard to get there a few years ago and deserved their opportunity. Yes they deserved their chance and quite frankly messed it up, yes they won promotion then tried an unsustainable model. Lot of this is the Premier Lges fault clubs should be made prove they have the "funds" to complete the season, even go so far as to deposit the funds so the League can see they will fulfill their commitments. Why should Aberaman be relegated because Neath cant fulfill their obligations, its nobodys fault apart from Neath themselves so they should be the ones to suffer the consequences. Yes they lost a big sponsor, unfortunate but would you and I put our clubs entire future at risk like that I dont think so.

Ron, rumours are rife at the mo, I heard that Neath will be ground sharing with Briton Ferry/Llansawel. Any truth in that mate ??

What concerns me in all this is that the Welsh League could fast become a dumping ground for Welsh Premier Clubs. What would happen if Llanelli, Port Talbot, Carmarthen and Afan Lido all failed their licences??? 7 Clubs get relegated from each Division?? Crazy! The situation needs to be addressed quickly.

Don't forget Aberystwyth. They were in the WL before the WPL was formed.

Also heard they were looking at Cwrt Herbert playing fields, the pitch with the running track around it.
