Just looking through the welsh league site n noticed that teams have games in May. Thought all games had to be played by 28th April?

Extra week added by the league a few months ago due to the poor weather and cancelation of games.

Don't know how it's going to pan out now, with saturdays fixture postponed as opponents unable to raise a team.If after tonight we are out of it anyway best of luck to Max & Ron in your battle for 3rd spot, whoever it is, I'm sure you'll do well in Div 2 as will both undy and goytre.

I just hope it doesnt turn out like the farce at the end of last season when Goytre's superior goal difference was beaten by Caerau after they beat a very weakened Treowen side by 13 goals to nil, which led to their promotion. At least Lanwern have been honest enough to tell the league that they havnt enough registered players to play the game as a group of players have booked to travel away this w/e. I honestly hope we dont get a repeat of last season as it would be an injustice for the three teams looking to be promoted.

To say we are unhappy with the Llanwern saga is an understatement. The original mid-week fixture in February was abandoned on 65 minutes due to a referee injury with us 2-0 ahead. Two months before that date we asked Llanwern if that date could be changed as we had 4 players due to be on an induction course in Slough. They refused outright. After the abandonment we asked if the game could be replayed within a few weeks to avoid an end of season backlog. They said no. After other recent arranged dates have fallen victim to the weather, Llanwern told us on Monday afternoon that Saturday would be the only date they could play this game. We duly brought forward our fixturee against Tillery to accomodate this. Two days later they phone and say they can't field a team due to players being away !! In addition they offer only one alternative and that is a week Thursday at the outpost neutral venue of Undy. With five key players unavailable that week plus our reserve team playing the same night it was a no-brainer for us to refuse this date. As they say they can't play any other time we are now at stalemate. The fact that their players won't make themselves available for Saturday and that Llanwern don't have a ground to play on has somehow now become our problem.....

Get a grip cf24street and pick your dummy up . But this isn't only Bridgend Street's problem, it could affect promotion from div 3. If the Ferry win or draw, they are up. IF Ponty win, then BS could be going into that game knowing exactly how many goals they need to win by. It could be just like last seasons farce.

Ditto, congratulations to Briton Ferry... its been arguably the most competetive division 3 for many a season and alot of quality teams challenging for the promotion slots. The table doesn't lie over the course of a season and we take our hats off and say a big well done to Undy, Goytre and Briton Ferry. After the injustice incurred by Goytre last season it proves that if you keep focused on the task you will get your just rewards, well done all.

This is now becoming a embarrasment to the WL. Between Llanwern v Bridgend S, & Newport CS V Pontyclun both making no difference to promotion or relegation, Might as well call both games off.

From a purely selfish point of view I'd like to see it played,"if"we win it it's 4th place and depending on the amount, best goals for column is achievable.I'd also like Messrs summers & white to get their 20 league goals for the season.Have a good summer......Kim.

Well i hope you draw 0-0. That way, you get the point you need to finish 4th, and we end up as top goalscorers. ;D ;D
