My spin on the Voggie Awards this is that AFC Porth are worthy winners of a "Bulldog Spirit" award (and well done to then for seeing out the season in adversity) + L Major deserved recipients of team of the year on a shoestring budget. Also, they are the only side promoted to Div One minus a groundshare. Pontypridd taken stick from all + sundry on here, but feel that Ammanford is the biggest disaster playing out of B Ferry next season. Few years back if you recall Ammanford were like leeches on the back of Cwmbran Celtic over promotion.....and now they've departed their home town for the sake of playing in div one for perhaps one season only. Unbelievable.

How about Trefelin getting club of the year for winning the Welsh League Cup ?

IMO Trefelin beating Llanelly in the cup is a fine achievement + I ain't knocking it. But it isn't in the same league as what L Major have achieved ALL SEASON + not just in a one-off tie with Llanelly. L Major worked their socks off both on + off the field last season to get in to Div One while Trefelin failed to get out of Div 3. End of story.

What an absolute herb, the B Ferry agreement is only in place to satisfy the criteria, Ammanford are putting a stand in over the summer, in the unlikely event that it isn’t ready in time a few games will be played in Ferry. Ask the question by all means, but don’t bitch and moan like a misinformed thicko. But Now that you have become informed go back to doing what you do best, jerking it in front of that computer screen

After careful consideration I have selected the winner of this highly coveted award. It may surprise a lot of people that I’ve not based it on trophies or league positions but there’s a lot more to football than that. I award it to .....🎺🎺🎺🎺🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 .....AFC Porth. Yes AFC Porth. They were cruelly left up the creek without a paddle in the summer due to the manager and his players jumping ship in the middle of the night . For a club to then fulfil its fixtures week on week in the knowledge that it’s 95% certain they’re going to get heavily beat is amazing. To cajole and somehow lift players to travel here there and everywhere in order to get a comprehensive spanking is even more amazing. To persevere and come back for more after taking one of the heaviest defeats ever seen in the WL is thoroughly applaudable. The community spirit and pride displayed must have been splendid and a shining example to the kids teams at the club. Football is a game we should enjoy but on rare occasions it can maim or crucify us. Their occasions weren’t rare. It must have been soul destroying for the players and small committee but they refused to go under. They kept going, they kept trying and more importantly they kept believing. That attitude is like gold dust these days. People of AFC Porth I truly hope the good times will arrive back at Dinas Park again because nobody deserves it more. Well done and enjoy the break you deserve that too. Fair play great comment and all the best to AFC Porth for the future!!

So I think it will be BF for longer than you think.

Its ironic that someone slags another person off for not knowing what they are talking about and come up with a complete load of b*****ks themselves. The part about getting the stand done during the Summer may be correct, but grounds have to be compliant by April 30th before the new season begins. Ammanfords promotion was only allowed due to the fact that they are ground sharing at a ground where the tier 2 license was granted to on inspection April just gone. You cannot get your ground compliant during the summer then expect to play from there. Sorry welshleaguefan4 it is you who is totally misinformed of the situation. Ammanford DO NOT have a Tier 2 license to play from their ground during season 2018/2019. I bet you feel a little embarrassed now giving Upton the large one and hurling abuse at him, when in fact it is you who appears to not know the FACTS. If it makes you feel better I personally think the rules stink. As soon as a club gets their ground criteria compliant they should be allowed to use it, no matter when it becomes compliant. Why make village supporters travel well out of the way, the powers to be should be promoting football in rural areas. They expect stands to be built during the winter/early Spring when the ground is soft and heavy plant equipment cant be used. It makes sense for these structures to be built during the summer when there are no games and the ground is harder making construction or installation easier. Another quick thought on the matter, will the ground at BF be able to handle double the amount of matches especially with our ever increasing wet winters? I hope the groundsmen at BF are top notch as they will be tested this Season.

Just seen that comment from the so called ITK Ammanford fan trading under the disguise of welshleaguefan4 on ground criteria to play in Div One next season. Your football knowledge sir of criteria is like the crude level who sank to in the final words of your post....cheap + tacky. Before you come on here get your facts right + make your comments without stooping to a gutter level. Understand? Now go + play with the traffic in B Ferry, if you dodge it you might see Ammanford there next season.

Hi John 1970 "I hope the groundsmen at BF are top notch as they will be tested this Season." We are fortunate in having an excellent and professional groundsman who will ensure that the ground will be of a high standard. Ammanford will be welcome for as long as they need to use our facilities.

Having a friend on the Welsh League Committee, I know Ammanford have been granted dispensation by FAW to play at BFL until their ground is up to regulation. In effect, if they had a 100 seater stand put in place, they would be allowed to play their Home games in Ammanford. Upton Park-goodbye don't comment on what you too don't fully understand.

What "jdog" is to not understand in that you can't chop 'n' change grounds during a season + that Ammanford hadn't met criteria at their ground, that's why they are playing out of Old Rd next winter. I realise I might not be the sharpest tool in the box.........but even I can understand that. And just for the record, I'll comment on whatever takes my fancy, btw it's called freedom of speech.

Although exceptions can be made if the FAW agrees. Look at Spurs, their new ground won’t be ready until Sep so the FA can let them play a few games at Wembley, for example.
Same principle applies.

Hi just a quick note off us at Bridgend Street FC to distance ourselves totally from any adverse comments made against another club by an individual or individuals purporting to be a member of our club. It looks like somebody has been attempting to stir a big brown stick. Flashpoints and incidents occur during every season at lots of games, some regrettable some not but as far as we are concerned a line is drawn underneath everything and we wish good upon every fellow club moving forward. We hope you all enjoy the summer break.

Unbelievable. To be honest, I think Ton Pentre Fc, should win the "Bulldog Spirit" award, after a slightly better season than us Lol , see what I did there. If it's award season how about the club awarded a Tier 2 licence with 225, not 250 seats, The "I cant count award" . Asked a local builder with experience of building, installing Welsh League stands to quote, then changed the goalposts so to speak after several fruitless days/hrs of visits, meetings went ahead with someone else, not bitter honest, a call would been nice . Had 75 seats originally, had the new stand installed, wasn't until the part time groundsman was merrily chugging along on his tractor,he started to count the seats and a 150 seater stand had been installed, now even this dull local builder knows 75+150=225. mind when inspected,2 days after the 30th April deadline?, 25 seats magically appeared somewhere in the ground, are they there now hmm, but hey ho needs must eh...cant blame them if there's a rule its meant to be broken right.
