FAW Couldn't organise anything without cocking up. We wont be ordering again. Our Club has organised and paid for a bus to go to Cardiff (not cheap) and still no tickets. Its a disgrace!!!!!

Am absolutely amazed. Not that this has happened, it's entirely predictable in my view. My amazement is that any single one of you expected anything other than a complete shambles from a group of people I have long since stopped referring to as a National Association.
As this is a Welsh League message board I shall relate it to that League as an example.....
This is the Association who last Summer waited no less than SIX WEEKS to even set a date for the appeal to be heard of the Clubs who were fighting the mass relegation. We all knew that they needed to get their skates on or the season would be delayed and they waited an unbelieveable length of time to even set a date. As a result, the entire southern part of the country started the season some 6 or 7 games behind where they would normally be at the start of September - a couple of feeder leagues to the WL have actually had to cancel their own Cup Competitions this season because there simply isn't the time to play the matches before many clubs lose their home grounds to their respective Council Parks Authorities for Cricket / Baseball etc...
This is the association who punish mass brawls in our league with fines and warnings but castegate people who use the odd expletive and give them fines over and above what many families of 4 or 5 people would spend in a week on food shopping, and then should you have the audacity to appeal charge you four times that again to even meet with you.
This is the Association who when they meet to discuss disiplinary matters hire a hotel meeting room to do so and charge each of the people found guilty a reasonable sum of money for the hire of that room - despite the factthat our fees and ticket income houses the Association in a not insignificant HQ in Cardiff which has ample meeting rooms within it's corridors, especially when these sub-Committees often have three or four members in attendance!
If Wales' Football was a bigger more covered sport or if these things happened in the English FA some of the things that go on from top to bottom would be absolute front page news in every Tabloid and Broad Sheet paper in the UK.
Never ever allow yourself to be surprised by an FAW error. To do so is to deny that you actually know what goes on within it!

Your comments are spot on. I have been Secretary of Cwmamman United for nearly 30 years and to be honest the FAW are a waste of time. Numerous examples spring to mind and once I will refer to was in Cardiff FAW HQ when I HELPED Risca United to get off with a massive fine and in the same game I got done for a £100 fine. To appeal was a huge amount of money and who can afford to pay? Quite frankly the Welsh FA Cannot organise a PISS UP IN A BREWARY and thats fact.

It's a shame really as it was a good idea to encourage clubs to sell tickets and get a kick back. WE (Monmouth Town ) are taking five coaches and 250 supporters (about 50% kids) so it should be a great day out....IF ...I get the tickets which have been verbally confirmed. At the moment we've forked out getting on for 5k in coach hire and tickets. If they don't get here soon I'm going to have to leave Town. Squeeky bum time!

Alun, I know a lot of people as I am sure do you, from the game in Wales and each and every one of us have bucketfulls of tales to tell. In all seriousness I have long since been considering writing a book - "The FAW - Shambles & Kick-Backs" The only things stopping me are A) We all have stories, but you wold have to be able to prove they are true or risk legal action and how many of us have documented proof of what happens B) Nobody other than those in Welsh Football would believe some of the stories!

Yet more comical evidence this morning of a lack of any understanding of what is actually more dangerous to the game from our so called governing body.
Craig Bellamy was yesterday cleared of any charge relating to the incidents which took place in the Reading game recently despite it having been reported in the correct fashion. No ban, no fine, nothing, and this is to a multi millionaire footballer who behaves in such a way in front of thousands of spectators each week and is a role model to our young players.
Ladies and Gentlemen, draw from your own experiences of how very small, not in the public eye, incidents in comparison have been dealt with in the Welsh League.
They also put a £5,000 fine on to Cardiff City FC for the incidents. The FA who looked into the Reading side of it fined them nearly three times that sum!
So, essentially what we are saying is, high profile bad behaviour from overpaid footballers is fine, but dearly me nobody in the Welsh League had better say anything on the touchline where all of about 30 people will be there!

When the FAW is made up of so many of the incompetent bunch on the WL committee, it should be almost expected that these c*ck-ups will keep happening! Only way to solve it, is to get rid of all the 'old guard' from the Welsh League committee and FAW (they sit on both). They have been feathering their own nests at our expense for way too long now!
Yet, the clubs do nothing about it- vote them off if you want to see changes and get new, younger and more importantly PROFESSIONAL men who can run things effectively!
How about setting an age limit for Officers of the Welsh League (70 maybe?). These guys have continually failed us Welsh League Clubs and they look to have made a mess of the whole ground criteria episode yet again. And we can probably look forward to a summer of confustion once more!
In reality, the Senior Officers of the WL should have resigned last summer, after being proven to be misleading the whole league. As far as the criteria update is concerned, apparently approx 18 clubs have failed the inspections, most on things like referees not having showers in their room and some grounds do not have boundary fences in place, which is a basic requirement of the league. Thankfully my club are ok but how are these other clubs going to construct huge boundary fences at huge expense and in a short space of time (1 month to comply)...
I was at a game yesterday and there was no solid boundary fence in sight, which makes it a purely an open field. Food for thought......
