In the 2009 criteria pitches must be at least 105yds x 60 yds. Anybody been Dinas Park big pitch aint it but not quite big enough apparently. We can move the goalposts as they say but dont forget you still need a min 1.83 m from edge pitch to the barriers, walls. Queried this and have been told the Welsh Lge determines pitch sizes despite FIFA<UEFA stating a pitch must be min 98yds,x 60yds. if you want get in the Welsh Prem pich must be min 110yds long. Whats gonna happen clubs who cant attain the 105yds as this will constitute a failure to meet the 2009 criteria

The criteria as simply gone crazy. From the 1st Feb 2011, hot dogs sold at any Welsh League Ground must be at least 1" in diameter and 6" long with finger rolls to match the various sizes. With this, tea and coffee must be served at a minimum temp to be decided at the next committee meeting which must be clearly stamped on the side of the mug or cup. Chips must be of a brown distinction when served and complimented with at least two kind of sauces which must be marked and readily available within easy access of the building and not to far away from the teams and officials changing rooms. Failiure to meet these new stringent guide lines will meet with suspension of all games until committee members of said club watch at least 5 episodes of Come Dine With Me or Ramseys Kitchen. Well I tell you.

I wouldn't lose any sleep of any proposedcriteria for next season just yet. I mean, there's been no official word yet.
And besides, going on recent experience, the WL could easily just ignore their own decisions again.
On the topic of criteria, pitch size (as long as it complies with UEFA/FIFA) is not as important as player and spectator facilities.

I see the ground inspections have started now. Will they be done by a group of impartial people, I doubt it very much. I think we can look forward to the next few seasons starting very much as this one did, late an with a lot of confusion.

Spoke to the Porthcawl chairman on Saturday. Thoroughly good bloke, but i forgot to get his name. Anyway, he confirmed that Lock's Lane has been inspected and they measured the pitch. If the WL are serious about new criteria this time round (comes in for the 2013 season i believe) then what will happen to Traharris? I only mention them because i know their pitch is a bit small/cramped. Surely there's little chance of them finding an alternative ground? I enjoyed my one and only visit so far to their place. Good setting/views and nice pies
