Well done to all and further evidence that this football club is a proper club and should at least in the Welsh League. The Welsh League committee should feel privileged to have us in their league and not watch on as we are flicked to one side by a malicious moron and the FAW

Can't fulfil fixtures if you are WITHDRAWN from the league by a vindictive owner. Daaaaamn happygolucky, where have you been the past few weeks?? And why should we be in the league, for the good of football in Barry on a senior and academy level and football for the rest of wales. For the many many MANY other reasons please see the rest of this forum.

Sorry happygolucky you're so far off the mark its unreal. We wanted to fulfill our fixtures and weren't allowed to - thats not our fault. Nearly 2,000 people came to watch our friendly against Cardiff City yesterday, why would the Welsh League legitimately not want us and that kind of publicity for Welsh domestic football?

pity you didn't win the play off as we could have merged or taken over Sully Sports on block and made our way back from that route. We'd have seen you ok .I could just see it, Barry Town Sports (it was an idea and thought process that was muted within before your defeat against Sully Sports Old Boys.

Still a faint chance that we might both end up in Div 3 Welsh League (now theres a thought?) For the FAW. Would be 3 leagues of 16 teams then. Within Two years your back in Division One providing you win the last ever play, off this year a 90 mins shootout after maybe winning all your games. Our manager Jimmy Blackie informs us that we have not lost a Saturday League game in over 2 years Home or Away.

The case goes to court on Aug 7th, hopefully a verdict will be reached on the day.

So the court case is on August 7th and the hope is that the outcome will be in favour of Barry Town United remaining in the Welsh League, but what if the appeal is unsuccessful?
I know there is obviously a reluctance to consider what might be, but surely there are some contingency plans should it be the worst outcome from Barry's point of view.
If the Vale league accept you (at this late stage), will you enter and claw your way up from the bottom, or just fold?
It's a noble and valiant fight that's being put up but even the most die-hard of Barry supporters must have considered this, should the court rule against you [please don't reply with and answer of 'we're not considering that, because we are right, and we will win' because no matter how right you think you are (including myself), there must be a 'what if' scenario that's been discussed at BTUFC]

judgement may be reserved for another day which will only exacerbate matters. The hope and belief is that it will be ruled in favour of Barry Town on the day. I really feel that the Welsh League management will want us in the league due to our history and the fact we are one of only a few clubs who have the facility and vision to work our way back to the welsh premier. That would be a notch for the league
