Newport Civil Service v Newport County AFC

On Sunday 04th August 2013 we will be hosting a family fun day along with the inaugural ‘Colin Routley Memorial’ match with Newport County AFC. I'm sure Colin needs no introduction and his family, Newport Civil Service AFC and Newport County AFC wanted to arrange something in his memory and came up with the idea of this event. It was decided to try and raise money for causes Colin would have wanted and from this his family advised that all monies raised on the day will be split between the Newport County AFC academy and Newport Civil Service AFC. We will be providing food and refreshments on the day along with a host of activities for all the family including bouncy castles/inflatables, fairground type stalls, raffles/auctions etc.

We are trying to raise as much money as possible so that we can hopefully also make a donation to a charity of Colin’s family’s choice. We are asking if there is anyway people could assist whether this be donating goods for the raffles/auctions or for the running of the day (i.e. food or drink etc.) or even sponsorship. We are offering numerous sponsorship opportunities starting from £20 for an advert in the matchday programme.

Just an update on the above!

Hopefully the weather will be kind to us as we have arranged the stalls and inflatables for the kids!

We have had some kind donations for the raffle including computer MOT's, beauty salon vouchers, free away travel to a Newport County game (including booze!) amongst others.

We are hoping to auction off a signed Newport County football as well as a signed 2012/13 Newport County promotion winning season shirt!

As well as this we are hoping that the Play off trophy will be making an appearance for photographs etc.

If you can attend please do so to honour a Newport County stalwart and raise as much money as possible for the causes he has chosen and it will hopefully be a great day!
