I have been involved with welsh football for over 20 years and find the last few weeks amazing at the attitude of clubs who cant just get on with football. At the present time we have no chance of kicking off this season and i think we have come to the point of which we should cancel this season as we have no chance of carrying out the fixtures required. The latest farce by you rebel clubs have thrown this season into chaos and have prevented the players and officials of clubs with carrying out there tasks of which the once proud welsh league was famous for. I for one have resigned and our manager and other clubs officials are close to goinG as well. It has been a pleasure watching football over the years and hope the rebel clubs form there own league and play themselve 10 times a season. Welsh fa throw them out now and let clubs get on with there season, there are 6 clubs waiting with the required criteria promote them now and stop the farce.

Matt,
What an excellent post I have to say!
You are spot on, this season must surely now be in some doubt. No matter what the rights and wrongs of it all I cannot believe that the 9 involved - especially the 6 who will still remain in the Welsh League setup - think that a cancellation of the season is better and more morally correct with so many people affected - The feeder leagues are as well remember - than just getting on with it.
Yes I am sure Llanwern, Ely, The Quins & Cwmbran Town are all up for a further delay, this is because they have floodlights and will be able to make up the fixtures without much problem at all.
My hat goes off to Ton Pentre FC, who have been the biggest club to be affected by the shake up and would have been saved by the 3 x 18 proposal, but they have not joined the rest in their selfish quests. True class being shown there, maybe some others may take note of that point!
Let us say there are, in a club which has a reserve team too, 40 footballers and 6 coaches. There are 54 clubs presently affected in the Welsh League setup, so that's 2,160 footballers and 324 coaches and other management team members.
Then go down to the feeder leagues affected - just in the South Wales region alone you are affecting the footballing enjoyment of 64 clubs. With squads of say 18 at those clubs and probably 3 on each management team that means you are now screwing up the footballing enjoyment and participation of 1,152 players and 192 Management team members.
So because of the selfish and frankly senseless (whatever the rights and wrongs of it) you are going to stop somewhere int he region of 3,200 people from playing proper football and around 500 management team members from doing what they love too.
Your own players and managers are included in these figures. Given the choice of having no football season or playing in 1 division below I guarantee you they would take the latter. Anyone who is about to respond to this saying otherwise - don't waste your time. Anyone who has been a player or been around one since the 80s will tell you that it would be the case!
Starting on September the 1st was bad enough - any further delay to the season is basically an acceptance that we will not play it at all.
I await the onslaught from the moral high horse brigade and I bet we can all have a guess as to which club the majority of them will hail from, but the facts are there in black and white for you above.
By the way, the word at our fixture yesterday was of an injunction being taken out to stop the games being played - well from our own experiences earlier this season I can tell you that the cost of getting one of those is more than many people in this country earn in a year!
Add to that the supporters of these clubs - which I won't even attempt to quantify!!
