If any forum members intended going to the Rhondda Derby between Ton Pentre and AFC Porth, I'm afraid it's fallen foul of the weather and has been called OFF.

Hi Brian,
I was going to go , rather bemused mind that I, or indeed anyone connected with club wasnt and still hasnt at 21 19 been contacted by anyone at Ton to inform me game was off.
Not having go at you personally, found out via twitter, now as you can imagine the amount of calls and texts I had been having, I tried phoning Brian twice, left voicemail, had contact Ken felt terrible when he told me where he was, I obviously apologised.
I couldnt inform the players,management on the basis of a Twitter post, but thats all I had go on.
Seems been a breakdown in communication somewhere along line,never mind see you in march/april.

That's unusual Huw. I'm not on the Ton committee, but I know that Ken Jones, who hasn't been secretary for very long, is doing a good job. Sadly his mother's funeral was yesterday. Scril is a regular on this forum and I'm sure he'll be have an explanation. I'm disappointed the game was off. This could be your season. Have a good Christmas.

Huw, you spoke to Ken jones at 16.36 yesterday .He took the call in the clubhouse, I was standing alongside him when he told you that the game was off. I missed your call at16.23.because i WAS UP TO MY ARSE IN WATER. HAVE A GOOD cHRISTMAS

yes Scrill I phoned Ken after receiving umpteen calls, texts,from players,coaches,supporters telling ME the game was off, not a phone call from Ton, this was after it had been on twitter for half an hour , I left you voicemail, and called again, appreciate you were busy just thought if someone could put it on twitter a curtesy call to the opposition wouldnt have gone amiss !!.
I was mortified when I spoke Ken and I will apologise when I see him next, but as you can appreciate I couldnt inform management,players game was off when I hadnt been told officially by your club, thats why in end I phoned Ken the 3rd call I had made thought that was down to the home team?
I will have a lovely xmas,same to you and everyone asscotiated with Ton Pentre.

Huw considering Ken's predicament maybe it's best leave things as they are before coming on here. People do have other issues to tend to and sometimes they over the priority of football To say you hadn't been told at 21:19hrs yet later admit you were officially made aware at 16:36pm contradicts your grumble.

Vogdog read thread mate I didnt say that at 21 19 I didnt know game was off did I, nor did I say I was informed at 16 36
Yes I appreciate what you say about getting your priorities right, but thats point if we had been informed when the game was called off, and posted on Twitter then I wouldnt have had make the call, or any call would I.
End of matter as far as I am concerned.
