I know it's rather early to write this, (but i'm bored) but who could come into Div 3 at the end of this season. Down here, Ystradgynlias are doing well at the top of the Neath League, and were a WL club a few years ago, but would their ground be up to it now. Both Seven Sisters & Cwmamman Utd are up there with them, but the same question about them. In the Swansea League, no one seems interested in coming up. Cwmbran Town look as if they got too much to do already to catch up. So who else is there. Anyone help.

Llanwern will then move into the new 3G facility next to the velodrome (which is Lliswerry's current ground)

I was speaking to the Llanwern guys yesterday at Pontypridd and it seems that they don't want to leave Newport Stadium as they feel that they have the best facilities in the league. Lliswerry's new ground does not conform to Welsh League standards and they are keen to accept promotion, if successful in winning the Gwent County. So they will need to stay on their current 3G pitch to satisfy the criteria.

Lets hope 3G pitches dont make inroads into the League. Who remembers Ferndale's pitch back in the 80's

I well remember Ferndales pitch at Darran Park. it is still in use in The Rhondda League, terrible surface, dangerous and like playing on sand. G3 is a completely differnt kettle of fish, much safer. I believe that therte is another club with designs on a G3, I think it is The Blues in Div 3, I thought that the cost of Newport Stadium was the stumbling block for llanwern. i was told that it was £200 per game!!

I was told on Saturday that Llanwern pay £120 per game but they have Carolynn Purcell (ex-chairwoman at Cwmbran Town) backing them

llanwern, @ £150 per game, minimum of 15 games , £1800 per seson, what do other clubs pay per season, in Rhondda welsh League Clubs pay nothing, but are responsible for dressing rooms , putting up nets etc, Council still does the upkeep, marking, cutting etc

For clarity, we have a few minor sponsors but don't have any "backers" as it was put.
