Give me your predictions on who will go down? Im going emlyn, treharris and bettws

I was looking at the bottom and it is very interesting down there. The teams that appeared to be certain relegation candidates suddenly started winning. There are a lot of clubs that could go down but id have to go with the current three. Bettws look poor at the moment and that have played more games. Credit to Caldicot, Rock Bottom but now have won the last 5 out of 6. League winning form against good teams, seems to be a hard team to beat atm. It is also a young team and if the squad keep together could see promotion next year if they can keep improving. In division two at the moment anyone can beat anyone a very close and tight league. As can be seen with the likes of Newport YMCA losing.

yes...good point Ronald...we'll have less of that around here... Mind you I once went to a Union demo in Cardiff for Gay rights (seriously) early 80's and got filmed with me placard an' all. Played footie in the afternoon and retired to the pub which was full of Footballers form lots of teams in Barry. Before the scores on BBC Wales was the news ...top story ..gay Rights demo and me with me placard. Used to have plenty of room in the showers after that. So it ended well.. ;D

nice to see us ( caldicot) getting some recognition . It's been a hard season but changing the manager was the right thing to do as at xmas we were doomed to go down . Hopefully we will escape the trap door and stay up and build next season .
As been mentioned we have alot of young players like Jeremiah , Bright and Mcginty but we have a 18 year old midfielder Jonny Nelson has been the bright hope for us in midfield . Small in stature but a great technical player who i believe plays for the Wales National futsal side too . let's hope we're playing at this level next year challenging at the top half of the table

yes you are right, and personally from what i saw i could see them being safe mid table now looking to push on. Was Jeremiah the left back? also the 2 centre halfs Bright and Munday i think also looked good. all the best to them for the rest of the season.

I am not sure who sevenbride is but they do appear to be a bit mistaken.. I'm not sure when the last time you watched caldicot play was but Mcginty hasn't played in a while.. He doesn't even play for Caldicot anymore and has gone to Undy.. Jeremiah has been round playing first div football for a few years now and allthough is pretty young (22) he has more experience than half the team.. Bright was first div centre back last season for the majority. Saying Jonny has been the bright hope is a bit far.. Yes he has done some good things but there are a lot of other players who have been our stand out performers.. Our new signings Luke Harris and Kojo have set up or scored the majority of our goals. Jimbob at centre half has been our player of the season so far with some inspirational displays and rightly so deserves to be captain at only 19 years of age..
I do agree that the change of management has given the team a new lease of life and also the desire needed to win games. We are now a lot more commited in games and starting to pick up points.. May the run continue..

caldifaithful i was thinking of the center half when i mentioned Mcginity . Perhaps i,v e messed up with the name from the programme i have . Haven't been for a few games as i have been working . The games i have been too i thought nelson was very assured on the ball especially for being so young , never hides always wanting the ball which is a sign of a good player . time is on his side too that's what has caught my eye . pity i can't get to many games at the minute for a more in depth analysis

That's fair enough. Yes that's James munday.. He has been our best player this season. Our centre halfs have been pretty solid since we have undergone our new management. Starting to get the rewards now with a couple of clean sheets. With regards to jonny. He has got great feet but sometimes is a little lightweight and goes missing. Don't get me wrong I like the kid but I think there are far greater reasons to our recent victories.. Always appreciate our support though so keep up up. We are always entertaining to watch even when we are crap! Haha

Indeed another great result.. Big game against Tata next week but with our confidence, commitment and a bit of luck we can pick up a result.. Little Jonny did play quite well yesterday. Luke Harris and Mitch up top were the stand out performers for me.. As well as Nicky Bright at the back.. We were a bit rusty especially first half but soon got back into the swing of things and picked up the much deserved points.. Promotion isn't too far away mind..

My first message on here as a new member so go easy on me. It was a very good result saturday for Caldicot, and with wins from Bettws and Newcastle Emlyn it just shows how tight League 2 is this season. With the exception on Monmouth, Tata and possibly Caerleon there isnt a great deal between the sides. We have brought in a few faces since the change of manager and they have proved crucial to run in form. That topped with very good team spirit has made the difference. As far as promotion not being to far away lets not get carried away. Two more wins should cement our place in the league next season, a top half finish would be a bonus. Thanks for all the support and recognition for Caldicot it is much appreciated.
