Pontypridd FC are a club who play in Pontypridd..dont confuse us with a mob who play somewhere else.

It's very confusing. Pontypridd FC are a phoenix club or an off-shoot of people from the much commented upon Pontypridd Town (FAW Championship South - based in Treforest, Leckwith, Aberdare etc, but rarely based in Pontypridd. Div 2 in old money). Pontypridd FC (based in Pontypridd) play in the 2nd level of the Taff Ely Rhymney Valley League (or Division 9 in old money). I've no axe to grind with either club, and I wish all clubs good fortune, but as this is a Welsh League message board and Pontypridd FC are currently at least 5 promotions away from that level then is this the best place for your regular updates?
