Travel conditions from H'west. Bit of a storm around, same with Bridgend St and AFC Llwydcoed, I understand

That’s a disgrace!! I drove to Tenby and back yesterday yesterday morning to collect a dog. It was windy and a few small hold ups but apart from that no problem. My god what is the word coming to ?

In both cases, Police advice was not to travel. The A40 in Carmarthen was under a couple of feet of water at 6pm last night, which would have affected travel back to Pembrokeshire. Aberdare and Mountain Ash were badly affected by flooding on friday and Saturday. End of the day, it’s a game and common sense should prevail

The day when men stopped being men. So I bet every player stuck to police advice and stayed in doors all day. I bet half of the valleys lot took the opportunity to come in to Cardiff for some early Xmas shopping. As for the West Walians I thought they had a bit more about them than that. Funny how Carmarthen were able to get to Barry Town the same day eh ?

You really are a cynic OG, I bet those Carmarthen players and officials needing to get back to Carmarthen and beyond did not have an easy journey Saturday evening. It was very fortunate the Abergavenny v Dinas Powys match was played Friday night (a credit to both sides in dreadful weather conditions). Because despite the excellent Pen-y-pound pitch being playable on Saturday the game would not have been on due to Abergavenny being cut off from most directions due to serious flooding between 10.00am and 4.00pm. Sometimes discresion is the best policy.

Absolute tripe. Yes the weather was harsh yes there was flooding but roads into Cardiff from the valleys and beyond were accessible barring the few. In those cases a bit of tweaking of the journey wouldn’t be too much to ask. Absolutely pathetic excuse from both clubs they should be docked points. Maybe HV have a case but Llwydcoed? Behave. Not exactly "tripe", my statement about what would have happened if Abergavenny were to have played Saturday is absolutely true. Perhaps you could ask Bridgend St and the other 11 home teams who were scheduled to play Saturday why their games were postponed?

Penrhiwceiber Con made it to Butetown in the SWAL yesterday & Merthyr Saints made it to Gabalfa to play the Dracs so think Llwydcoed could have made it if they’d really wanted to

Dont know why havywest are getting stick Most of carmRthens squad are from nowhere near Carmarthen so Barry would have been a home tie for alot of em. Llwydcoed 1 is a strange 1 vs street Off due to safety concerns? if clubs could only use that excuse every week? Nobody would ever travel down to play at that shit whole in Cardiff. Laughable really like. Taffs v mk town another strange one Pitch looked mint, But Norma probably had a after noon tea booked in and didn't fancy a bottom of the table slog.

League management will make a decision on Nov 12 regarding Haverfordwest + Llwydcoed. Looking at the Llwydcoed situation, their neighbours FC Cwmaman travelled down to Porthcawl for a S Wales Alliance match + got a 4-1 stuffing. So, you'd have to day if Cwmaman could travel why not Llwydcoed? This could, therefore, jepordise the Harveywest case of Pembrokeshire being hit hardest by the storm. By this I mean.........the punishments for BOTH clubs must surely match. Under Welsh Lge Rule 16 both could lose 3pts and management could make them dish out reasonable compensation. The rule then says that Div One clubs failing to fulfil fixtures are fined 500 quid, Division Two 200 quid + Div Three 100 quid. Seems strange to me why should Div One clubs be hit hardest....because they are richer?

It'll be very dangerous to punish people for not travelling when they have cited safety and police instruction was to 'only travel if necessary'. Could lead to all sorts of legal situations for health and safety reasons.
I think it'll be a case of both clubs getting away with it.
