I see the qualifying criteria to play in the UEFA Regions Cup is that a player must be playing welsh league 3 and below so how are there so players from welsh league 1 & 2 included in the squad ?

The players now playing at Division 1 or 2 were playing below this level when this competition started. If they win the group, the team stays together until the finals in the summer. If not, new players would need to be found to replace those playing at a higher level

The qualifying rule I saw is that a player has to be with a division 3 club or lower on September 1st 2018 and to never have played Semi Professional or Professional so that’s how I’m stumped that there’s higjer league players.

No there are 2 new additions to the squad from the one that contested during the summer. One from Bridgend St and one from AFC Porth. There’s also a player included from Port Talbot and they were division 1 last season as well as this season so how is he included and a new player from Bridgend St who are division 2 ? Really good to see an even spread of clubs representing the region LOL . Maybe the selectors want to set there sat navs to Swanbridge one day but then again Mr Green was never partial to Sully Sports was he ? 😏 The team that has travelled to Bulgaria is last seasons team. The advert is for the new seasons team

Aye that’s what happens when the coach picks his favourites and not the best squad available.

So what do you suggest mr Avon ambulance should they have taken the whole Swansea University team or perhaps the Bridgend Street side as they were the best 2 teams at level 3 last year?

They got beat again 5-2 today. I play in the Alliance division 1 and played a lot of Welsh League before too so know quite a lot of the boys in the squad. I also know a lot of boys who haven’t been chosen to go on tour and are better than some of the players that were chosen. Having 7 players from one club selected is a bit too much. and it seems like a lazy way of picking a squad. Does the perm actually go and watch players before picking them ? A lot of hype about nothing I think !!

I have had contact with a couple of the boys out there with the region squad and they are questioning whether they are actually playing against Level 3 players, they are saying they are playing against professionals, also the accommodation is bad it’s like staying in a youth hostel and the food is bad and they are quite a way from anywhere where they can purchase decent food but the main thing is that the temperature is in the mid to high 20’s which is very warm for us to be playing competitive football in but almost cold for the Turks and the Bulgarians. It is very easy to criticise but before you do please understand the full facts. All will be shown for you all to see as they are being followed by a BBC film crew, I don’t know for what programme but let’s hope it doesn’t turn into something we can’t watch before the watershed or even in the horror section.

Surely there’s better players out there that could have been taken. 7 Libs players included in provisional squad - wonder why!? Play for me and I’ll get you in Regions team!!!
Also signing players on from Welsh League teams and transferring back straight away so that can be eligible for the Regions squad? Bit fishy if you ask me.
Heard rumours that some of players set off fire extinguishers in Hotel - not sure if true or not? Make interesting TV 👍🏽

Rumours of fire extinguishers etc... are true and the individual was sent home in disgrace but having caused damage and the expense for the flights etc.. he so far has not been asked to pay, which I think is a disgrace but that’s a different matter. also the players that transferred in order to play despite being told otherwise have not been able to play football for a month which has taken the shine out of it for them I am led to understand so let’s hope that for those players it was worth it, but let’s be honest anyone who is given the chance to represent their area/country is going to jump at the chance as it is a dream for any sportsman to have the chance to put on Your countries shirt.

'It is a dream for any sportsman to have the chance to put on your countries shirt'. I agree with that but would also say that any behaviour such has been mentioned should come with a life ban from playing football. These footballers and Management should be aware of the responsibility they have after being selected to represent our country. I would not be surprised if the organisers of this competition decided to omit us from further competitions. It is a shame that after excellent behaviour in Europe by Welsh fans that some of these players have let us down and their clubs.

Not some of these players, only one, I am not going to mention his name but I bet his club are really proud of him, I agree it should come with a lifetime ban from representing their country after showing such a lack of discipline and respect, but remember they are not only representing their country but firstly they are representing their club, but just remember it was just one of the squad members not the other 17, and I for one would be in favour of giving him the bill for the damages and the cost of arranging his transport home, if it was something that happened while playing football on a Saturday playing for his club he would be up before the Welsh FA and fined etc.. and not be able to play until he had paid it off, so seeing as it happened while with the regions squad I think he should be held responsible for the costs and in much the same way he shouldn’t be able to play at any level until the costs were repaid

The team is Laughable, why are wales being represented at this level at all? I recognise the semi pro level but the substandard lower leagues in welsh football is a joke. 'they are saying they are playing against professionals', I doubt its the fact they are 'professionals', it'll be the fact the representing country has a better calibre of players, who conduct themselves in a professional manner (football, diet, lifestyle). Our representatives are over weight, beer drinking louts (check the captains instagram). No wonder they are loosing every game as they're constantly on the piss. There's a photo with beer bellies and all. Be realistic, the coach Green has only coached Llanharry fc basement amateur league. Why the FA are wasting money on this venture is beyond me? No players from teams who have got promoted (if still eligible that same season). No stm, llantwit major, swansea uni. Obviously the section process is non existent if its pretty much the same team over the last few years. There are many better players across the leagues then the players selected. Can anyone inform me how selection is made? Is there a trail? Do they scout? 2 years ago LLantwit magor walked div3 no selection of players, same with swansea uni and stm have always been a stand out team, oh yeah, NO SELECTION!? Something is a little fishy. The FAW should look into this, 'jobs for the boys' springs to mind.
