The above game which was to be played at Goytre Utd ground has been called off due to waterlogged pitch.

Fair play to "fairplay" he's done better than the woeful Welsh League website in informing fans that Punt Talbet v Ponty in the Goyt stables is a non-runner today. What does the guy who does the Welsh League website do with his Saturdays as it must surely be too early for Christmas shopping? IMO any website is a reflection of the respective organisation - and this is certainly true regarding the Welsh League. Any chance of reincarnating that cheerful chappie Tony Griffiths who always took pride in his work + it was reflected on the Welsh League website. Fans got tip-top service under him, but now it's 2nd class at the very best.

Perhaps the home team has forgotten to tell the league. The Trefelin abandonment is on there so someone is awake behind the scenes.

Weird that Trefelin couldn't turn back the water?
I thought the Trefelin supporter on here was some sort of cnut?

I understand that the game was abandoned early in the first half when the referee went off injured and was not due to the weather.

Pontyclun didn’t want to play even with the offer of a replacement qualified referee they just wanted out of there absolute bunch of jokers

Clubs can’t appoint a referee, replacement or otherwise.

What was the score at the time and I assume the ref was affiliated to Trefelin.
Pontyclun totally in the right, poor buggers have to go back again now

Going back on the Goyt stables track yesterday of the Punt Talbet v Pontypridd game that didn't come under starter's orders, I picked up the postponement around 1ish on Punt Talbet Twitter. You would think that if they Tweeted then they would have informed the league also that it was game off. There again Punt Talbet + commonsense aren't happy bed partners. Amazing thing to me yesterday was given all the rain that fell so many games were played.........they even played in Caerau which was even more amazing.

I'm sure when the FAW take over the running of tier 2 next season we'll see better organisation. The Competitions dept is full time for starters. Plus the WPL's social media presence is very active on match days.

Hopefully the ground standards will be better! Funny how Port Talbot’s game was off but Afan Lido and Trefelin were okay

Supposedly, Goyt didn't want to take a gamble + have their track churned up by Punt Talbet.
