With 2026 now allocated to most of the Americas, Wales bid for 2030 will rely heavily on picking the right venues.
Jenner Park is a given, as is The Rock up in North Wales for the spectacular scenery. Haverfordwest is worth considering but a logistics nightmare getting fans all the way out there. Games at both Goytres would be funny to see thousands turning up at the wrong ground. I guess Leckwith might get a game so the people of Pontypridd get a share of the World Cup dividend.
But where else could host a few games?

Great thread this.
Treharris' temporary ground up in Fochriw would obviously be up there. I hear there is a rock concert in Senegal this year to raise funds for a new stand. Great Welsh ground!

Need some in Mid Wales I suppose so the obvious choices would be Caersws and Builth Wells due to the fantastic road the A470. Airbus Broughton has to have a shout up north as they can fly in, run to the ground, play the game, jog back to the plane and fly off again. Bangor because they are always being picked on by the WPL.

Got to be Caersws, great fun trying to get the team bus under that railway bridge! Panteg for their state of the art changing facilities and route march to pitch.

Surely west end would have to make a claim to host some part. Would be a real culture shock to some superstars

What about Monmouth Town and Chirk AAA, at least England won't have far to go home when they go out after the first round of matches lol.

You come on here to get away from the World Cup + what do you get...........yet more flipping World Cup. It's bad enough ITV changing Emmerdale Farm + Corrie times for the World Cup without this site also going World Cup Willy mad. Roll on the 2nd weekend in August when the Welsh League gets underway.

The remote VAR headquarters could be at Trefelin 'cos they know a thing or two about football up there.

No World Cup would be complete without using The Buds ground for the knockout stages of the tournament. The opening ceremony and game could be at The Riverboat in Caerau because their flickering and blinking floodlights could double up as the razzle dazzle pyrotechnic display.
