My reason for cutting my ties with the club was more than just travelling to leckwith. For me, there was nothing better than meeting with my mates, having a beer at the maltsters and strolling down to the park. I personally would have stayed at ypark at a lower tier. It may sound like a lack of ambition but i still believe in local doorstep football. I think its crucial that a town can identify with its club that is why im delighted with the re-emergence of pontypridd fc. This may sound like the ramblings of a negative madman but we all have opinions and choices and my opinion and other local fans is..we want and will watch football in our town. Im not having a dig at ponty town and do wish them well in the future.

IMO you ain't a negative madman regarding Ponty moving to Cardiff........surely football at this level is all about supporting your local club at a local ground; enjoying the company of your friends over a pint or two, not moving at a heartless stadium in the Welsh capital. Welsh League is changing faster than the speed of light + in most cases not for the better either with these one year only groundshares of Ammanford + Pontypridd highlighting the point.

As said many times the club known as " Pontypridd Town " no longer represent the town and havent done for a while. No interest........no empathy ........no support.
