It’s awful that only 2 go up from the 3rd division but it’s incredible how close it is between Trefelin BGC and Bridgend Street. Richie and his boys have had a brilliant season at Ynys Park especially getting to the cup final and have been in the top 2 since august but could just miss out if Bridgend beat Swansea University tomorrow so it’s a nail biter for Tref. Wishing Richie and the boys good luck they belong in division 2. I’m predicting a draw tomorrow to send Tref into Friday final in buoyant mood ready to do the double

Being a neutral in this situation i cant see anything but a Street win tonight. A bunch of students heading up to Tremorfa on a Thursday night to play a game that means nothing to them. We always seemed to play Street on a week night at the end of the season, and its probably 1 of the toughest places to go in welsh league, always a decent crowd down there, so given the situation i should imagine they'd be at least a couple hundred down their watching. My guess, Street run away with it 5-0. Street go up, Trefelin just miss out. Just a guess, please dont take it personally

Just goes to show how rediculous a decision it was for two up from division 3. Its awful that Trefelin miss out with the too three so doninant and far ahead. Trefelin would finish top half division two but instead teams struggling get to survive. It was a bad bad decision and has now cost a good club/side a deserved promotion

It’s got to be gutting to lose out on the last game of the season, but this shit ruling has been in for two or three seasons. Every Div 3 side knew they had to be in the top 2 to go up at the start of the season. The old saying is tables don’t lie. Bridgend Street won their last 12 games whereas Trefelin slipped up. Congratulations to Bridgend Street, commiserations to Trefelin, there’s always next year and good luck in the cup.

It’s a disgrace Tref beat SU twice lost just 2 games and don’t get promotion yet there’s crap teams staying in the 2nd div who have lost 17 or 18 times this season. We’d murder them every day of the week yet they stay a division above us wtf ? The fact we beat the so called champions twice is proof we were robbed and the 2nd div have been deprived of the best team in div 3. We got Cup final tomorrow after smashing the top div 2 teams along the way. Absolutely disgusting

Feel so sorry for Trefelin, NOT if you were the best team in the division you would have finished top of the table not 3rd, and I was at the Street v Swansea Uni game tonight and I didn’t see Swansea uni tearing Bridgend Street and I quote mr Avonambler “ a new arsehole”, strangely it didn’t happen so enjoy division 3 for another year fella

The D2 results are irrelevant to D3 league position. Those clubs have already achieved their promotion from D3. Once Trefelin do the same, they will be able to smash them every week in D2.

As for the 2 up/down situation, as had been explained on here many times, it was imposed by the FAW as we supposedly had to match the promotion/relegation in other tier 3/4 divisions in Wales, which was only 2.
The fact that the standard and status of WL D2/3 are higher was deemed irrelavent.

Absolutely disgusting Just because you beat the winners it doesn’t mean you deserve to go up, bridgend throughly deserves to win last night against the students and deserve their promotion after 12 wins on the bounce. Stop being bitter and accept that the better teams gained promotion. Haven’t seen the students play this season other than at bridgend street but they had nothing to play for and you could tell they didn’t really want to be there. Hopefully trefelin win the cup as everyone loves an underdog, next year you should smash the division if you guys are that good.

Just keep looking at the table to keep reminding yourself that you finished 3rd, it’ll eventually sink in, as my old school report used to say “should have tried harder”

That is very true. One of our boys watched Bridgend Street smash trefeline at their own ground and i hear would of at home if they didn't play most of the game with 10men after a poor ref decision. All season trefeline scraped their wins with the help of screaming and rushing at the ref's. Awful manner. Very fortunate to beat pontypridd in the semi too. Wasn't deserved. Good luck though next season and we welcome all at Bridgend Street into division 2 and look forward to playing them. Trefelin tweek your game a bit and change certain attitudes and you might get 2nd spot next season. All the best
