Totally peed off with the fact our game ay Newport CS was called off at 11am today due to "a waterlogged pitch" , If there was any danger of the game being in doubt a bit of contact yesterday would have been appreciated. Given the fact all other games barring one division 1 game went ahead we are not happy chappies to have it called off , especially so late.

Can well believe that their pitch is already waterlogging. They had some serious postponements last season - ended up with 10 games i'n hand at one point I think!

Just a reply from Newport Civil Service we did leave till Saturday as we fought it would be on so left it as late as possible so sorry for the inconvienve, as for the talking crow we do not all have the luxury of affording to pay for a stadium that has no stand.

not sure there was any malice intended there from Crow, just a statement of facts that NCS's ground location makes it prone to flooding. personally i'd rather be told the game is off at 11am than have to travel to the ground for it to be called off just before kick off. at least then you can do something productive for the day, but the mrs has probably already gone out  |

apology accepted from CS but if they know there are issues with their pitch and its susceptible to poor drainage maybe a peak on Friday would have given us the heads up and contingency plans could have been put in place by some of our players and staff. There was abvsolutely no plan B in place as the game being off was not even considered. Some of our players thought it was a wind up...

Streetwise typed "a waterlogged pitch", which made me think he didn't believe it could be waterlogged. That's usually why one uses such quotes. Example: oh yeah, Alan Shearer's an "expert" on defending....
And besides, I will continue to form opinions on things irrespective of where my clubs plays its home game. Good grief.
