Length of Leckwith pitch fails new criteria and cannot be lengthened due to proximity of running track.
So no Leckwith isn't a WL facility yet good enough for a professional league.

Isn’t Leckwith pitch 100m long ? That meets the criteria, albeit the lower limit of 98m due to constraints of the ground.

ladies have played on it last 2 weekends and U18s beat Barnsley 3-0 on it yesterday. The pitch is still better than any other welsh league pitch even Llaneli.

They’re firmly under their rocks again at the moment rct
Anyone who is on Twitter knows this to be the Ponty way. When winning 5 tweets a day & 300 retweets.
When losing not even match results are posted for days
And 1 point from 9 and a Semi final defeat in their last 4 games means silence was always going to be their way at the moment
They play Porth tonight so expect a brief return to retweet city before more silence after the carpet magicians send them back into silence on Saturday!
In my opinion - silence from Pontydiff is very much golden enjoy it while it lasts

Im all for slamming big time charlies. But It was well publicised, front page news in ponty that all avenues were considered. If I remember rightly the pitch markings were the deciding factor on why the sardis road merger fell through. So a question to faw and Welsh league would be, if ponty park, the uni, sardis road and Leckwith are not Welsh league 1 venues. What are? And where else should they play? I'm sure they are not the only ones in this position either, surely a number of div 1 teams are in this position as are others looking for promotion to tier 1. The Top 5 in div 2 and div 3 currently.. 1 possibly 2 would meet criteria.. Huw if you were top of league I'm sure your stance would be different. It's worrying and financially crippling for a lot of us to meet these new expectations. I fear there is no hope for many and really struggle how many in 3 or 2 can ever achieve this criteria. wlman Im sorry you are wrong,my views dont chanage based on League position, when the requirement for Div 1 was 100 seats we spent, £10k of our own money, plus a WGI grant ,now we have to raise £27k for an extra 150 seats, for Teir2 . But we will meet Teir3, 100 seater stands prob cost in region 10-12k, so some current Div2,3 clubs are sadly going to struggle when teir comes in 2019

Where are you buying your seats? Sounds very expensive to me. Seats are £55 each, plus vat, Arena Seating, plus fitting total spend for us on a 100 seater was £35k, mind we had knock down, existing, re use some steels, plus roller shutters. New Quote for extending both sides, with 75 seats either side existing 100 seats is £27k Total for 250 seats to us at Dinas park, would be £52k. Easier for some clubs, slap down a concrete base, fix 100 seater stand to that..quote for that on level ground , was £14K. 250 seater stand £22K

Im a Pontypridd Town fan,In case you hadn't guessed.Im also a proud Pontypriddian and follower of football in general. So Leckwith is a no go.And in all honesty I'm glad.So plusses at Pontypridd are despite some recent results a superb team,we were pre season favourites and I think maybe that has hung over us this season. But that's not discredit other teams and I've watched some great football home and away this season.Yesterdays game was high tempo and plenty of skill, both sides would be a credit to the first division. We've had 2 good cup runs and although we went out to lower league opposition on both occasions it was good to experience. My main concern is the lack of connection with the Town itself.I've been actively following for about 5/6 years regularly and its true to say that when the Broad Brothers arrived and made changes the club was on its knees and in danger of going out of the Welsh League so plaudits for the improvements made. The ground at Ynysangharad park wasn't able to be developed,This is due to the position of R.C.T and the " covenant" on the park.Other avenues of playing in Pontypridd were explored but as far as I'm aware none were suitable. So we moved to Parc USW.the current ground at USW is unfit for the first division.something myself and other supporters already knew. The "new " ground over the opposite side of Parc USW was supposed to be ready for the start of next season. This looks very unlikely so a ground share is being sought if we gain promotion. The aim of W.P.L football is an admirable and achievable ambition. However at the moment it all looks a little pie in the sky.The clubs name is " Pontypridd Town " the club should represent the town and area.No one seems unduly bothered if it doesn't.And that is a real shame.

Pontyultra. It's good to know there are people about who care about the identity of the club.
My view is that if you haven't got the facilities that were stated as the required facilities and where known at the outset. You should not get promoted. Waiting for a facility that was NEVER going to built in time and consequently looking for an out of town ground share to get around the rules is unacceptable.
I am also like you of the view that the club should represent the town. I agree I don't think the club does at present. Which is a real shame for a town the size of Pontypridd. Undoubtedly there are players based in the locality who are and who are capable of playing at Pontys level.
A shame for the area.

Are they not using the options available to progress?, were we not in recent years depicting how Barry and Llanelli should have been kicked out of the league due to finance misinterpretations? Yet they both could be in WPL within a very short timescale?, give Ponty some credit for trying to be progressive while other options become available.
Just saying !!
