Regions Cup group a prelim. 4th -10th June 2018 South Wales.

Just a note re the above UEFA national competition.

SWFA have won the Welsh region to represent Wales and host the group stage. Wales, Sweden, Greece and Macedonia will compete to find out who will then go forward into the international knockout rounds.

The event will take place in South Wales between 4th & 10th June 2018 possibly at Jenner Park/Cardiff Met/Penybont (personal thoughts)

Of late SWFA seem to take a lot of games to Penybont because of the mat. Don't know if there's a FIFA ruling saying games have to be played on grass. But with the bulk of grass pitches out of bounds close season, in the old days it was down to maintenance but less so now due to council cutbacks, the SWFA might find it difficult to find a suitable venue if they can't have artificial surfaces.

Been told that Cardiff Met + Barry Town Utd in the running as FAW Regions Cup venues. But as probably more than one venue will be used, Penybont still have a chance as their ground is available. The the new King Cole Stadium 250-seat stand is now in place + ready to rumble while the car park is currently being extended.
