Just when you think the Welsh League website can't get any more unbelievable, it never fails to disappoint. How can you put out a cup-tie s/f between Pontypridd + Trefelin as ending 3-3. I know Trefelin won on pens, + well done Richard Ryan + his team on the win, but why didn't the guy who does the website give the result of the pen shootout? Well + truly Unbelievable.

They are just using a software plugin for the site which doesn’t have the functionality to show penalty results.

With £100k in the bank, surely the Welsh League could afford to replace the computer thye've got that belongs to the valves era. Put another way since it was 3-3 at f/t + Trefelin won 4-2 on pens so why not show a 7-5 scoreline in favour of Trefelin? At least then folk would know Trefelin had won. Supposedly, too simplistic?

I see what your saying but cut the league a bit of slack here. The result was readily available in so many other places and would have been available within 10 seconds of the referee blowing the full time whistle. Problem is we are spoiled these days. I remember standing in red telephone boxes with a pocket full of 2ps trying to ring around people to find out how the opposition had got on. Either that or wait until the Western Mail came out on Monday for the full result service ! Now you can be stood on Pen Y Fan, sightseeing the Egyptian Pyramids, Mount Everest or even Dogging in Caldiclit , and be updated fully with a minute of the whistle wherever the game has been played in the world.

IMO Voggie you're missing the main point...the Welsh League website is the OFFICIAL source not secondary of results of its 48 member clubs. To my mind once you see the result on any league website of any sport then you know it to be correct. I realise other organisations gave out the correct result, but in this day and age surely the league should give out the correct result. The previous supplier of Welsh League results, Prof Tony Griffiths, managed via his website to perform this task with 2002 technology. Sixteen years on, and a league with £100k in the bank can't get a wesbite provider that provides the technology to supply results of cup-ties in the correct manner.

To be fair it has to be the most unfriendly site for any user that I have come across in a long time.

There’s a “sign in” option tab on the top right hand corner of the page so what does that supply? There’s no option to register only to sign in ! Maybe membership is some sort of an occult or even a forum for the committee to reminisce about the First World War.

The sign in button is for club secretaries and match officials to use. Match officials can do their availability and match reports on it. Most of it gets ignored anyway as however it gets monitored doesn't pass on relevant info to the relevant people
