Really good game with Reds winning 2-0 and probably on balance, just about deserved win. Reds created the better chances with Haverfordwest coming back strongly 2nd half but really didn't test Reds keeper. Llanelli's title to lose now! a crowd of 504 witnessed a good advert for the Welsh league. Reds got 6 games remaining with only 1 at home , while Haverfordwest have 8 games left and I think only 1 at home!

Congratulations to Llanelli
Hope they do well in the premier league next season without going silly with money.

Average attendance this season is around 330. OK for Welsh premier, but heard that WPL set admission prices ? If so, and club put up admission fee to £8 we wont get that average!! Currently we charge £5 , concession £3 and kids u16's free. We have a wonderful stadium , with clubhouse, café, Jock Stein lounge and Media suite for sponsors but we need to be sensible regarding admission fee and so should WPL !!

I agree
Clubs should be able to charge that they want
Getting 400 at £5 is as good as 250 at £8
Then you have the additional income from the bar etc
It would also be better for the league.
Maybe cheap season tickets are the way forward with monthly payment options

Bernard
Is that average with a healthy away contingent which in WL1 would be high I imagine (Trundle factor/local clubs etc) Would WPL football fill that void if there is one

What’s the food like at Trundletown F.C. ? Still the best in the league?

Trundle has obviously helped, but apart from few clubs , away support minimal. we have always had a hard core of about 300. for the size of the town its shit. not helped by Scarlets and Swans on our doorstep.
Season tickets will be an option next season , and if promoted , the club will request to set admission prices I believe.
massive week for club with deadline for meeting criteria on Saturday !! But first we must win league and then see where that gets us. It has been an unbelievable last 5 years and to get where we are now is magnificent. Next season, based on current finances and squad it will be very difficult.

But what about the grub at Trundletown is it still excellent ? I’ve a soft spot for the fayre they serve up. If nothing has changed they’re already on terms or above the WPL clubs I’ve been to. Brian Ferry do a good turn too. On the whole it’s a shame more clubs don’t make an effort to offer food or tea during games, even if it’s just for the games that anticipate larger crowds. Given the amount of support we take to away games I thought the fayre would have been on offer more often than it was when we were WL. There’s nothing quite like a diet pie during a game.

Having just seen that Scarlets have sold 15,000 for their next European game I can sense your frustration. Cardiff Met charge £6 entry so clearly you can set it that low but that could be the WPL dictated minimum.

I don't think the league set admission prices in the WPL, unless those prices are set within a band.
There was a members vote closed season to set the prices at Barry. 40% price hike from £5 to £7, but crowds went up 'cos it turned out people wanted to see us play Bangor more than they wanted to see us play Taffs Well. Which is understandable.
Having said that, it could be first season novelty and the numbers could die back a little if we get a second season and its perceived as 'normal'.
