Massive game on Saturday, personally think whoever wins this will definitely be promoted.
Hope a few of you come along

As Penybont have over a fortnight before their next fixture against Harveywest, some of their massive fan base of 25 might might take the almost worn out road from the King Cole Stadium to Windmill Lane to watch a team containing 90 per cent of their ex-favourites in action. It'll be an experience they aren't used to.....especially the simmering cans from the hatch and no Sky tv.

Your just a poor man's vogdog.
If you got your arse up there you would see the facilities for yourself.
Also, most of the players have been with the club for several seasons and 4 or 5 of the side that started Saturday live in Llantwit.
Like I said a poor man's vogdog and he's nothing to write home about.

Happy with the title "poor man's Voggie" thanks for that. But consider this you chappies down in L Major.....what happens if and when someone comes in for Mr K Lewis, as his record at Windmill Lane is pretty impressive? Won't be long before someone comes knocking on his door with offers bigger than you could afford in L Major. And you can bet your bottom dollar that the ex-Penybont boys will also exit with them, leaving your cupboard distinctly Old Mother Hubbard. Things look fine at L Major at the moment, but you have to guard against the domino scenario. Have to avoid the same fate as next door neighbours Rhoose.

As much as you like to think it UPG, you are not the brains of the WL. The WL stretches far and wide past your beloved Pen Y Bont. Rhoose were very similar to Cardiff Grange Harlequins. They folded due to money issues. I have visited Windmill Lane on a few occasions over the last 4/5 years and from what i can see, they are a tightly knit group who plays together for the love of the game and not chasing paper.
Planning for new stands and one of the up and coming clubs in Welsh League, I am sure the club can attract players and managers alike from around the WL.

First of all, Penybont is not my beloved club + I never pretend to be the brains of the Welsh League. L Major are a tight group you are correct....but they are tight because 90 per cent are from Bridgend and bulk of them failed to get into the 1st team as they've got a manager in Griffiths who prefers waifs and strays from Welsh Prem. Young players who want 1st team football soon get tired of the Reserve team - + off they go to L Major to join their ex-Penybont chums. That's not rocket science + no brains required to work out the situation.

The first time I watched Llantwit play in the Welsh League, Phil Clay was their manager and I seem to remember several ex pen y bont players playing then. This was well before the current management and well before Griffiths at Pen y Bont. Maybe the players who have since made the switch to llantwit cannot handle the pressure of a demanding top WL 1st division team. They seem to be thriving down at Llantwit. I was at their Aberdare game the other week and this is a team that is destined to join Pen Y bont next season in Div 1 IMO. I am sure that will attract the crowds. Expect the gate prices to be put up by 50p for that derby match

You ain't wrong there should L Major get promoted to div 1, the first thing they will no doubt checkout when the fixtures are released are the Penybont games. I think Griffiths was given a contract extension + will be at the King Cole Stdium again next season.....so there'll be a few L Major boys with a point to prove to Griffiths that's for sure. Might add a few on to attendances too.

Long way to go but we have a decent chance.
5 away games in 15 days will make things difficult. Luckily the squad is stronger than it was last season.
Saturday's game will be pivotal.

Funny how voggers hasn't mentioned that leonne Jeanne has left goytre for Bridgend street, always quick to have a go at goytre but not when his own club is involved.
