After taking a heavy defeat last week I've got to say I only saw this game going one-way, but fair play to West End on that result!! That is what you call "bounceback-ability"

I would argue it’s a completely predictable result to be honest on that pitch and away from home - history tells us this is anything but a shock result for STM
You can’t play that way on cabbage patches as much as I hate to say it because I like be to see the ball on the floor the entire time
I would love to see the stats of home / away for the St Mellons boys?

I did - and they deserved their win. What I would add is this ..... have you ever seen a referee send a player off having given a penalty and then after 5 minutes of absolute uproar decide that he does not know the rules and and calls the player back on the pitch from the changing rooms !!! just staggering !!! - then just add to that he gives several throw in's to either side where he clearly give the decision the wrong way but turns to the players and says "sorry I pointed the wrong way" Is this really Welsh League Division 2 ? Good luck to West End, decent bunch of lads.

If you read what I said then you would see that was not what I said at all - I said the West End deserved the win and they did. It was not the referee's fault and neither did I say it was. What I said was is it right to have officials at this level that don't even know the rules

In fairness to Mellon you have to acknowledge that a player being recalled from the changing room after being sent off is absolutely absurd. Reading his comments you’d assume that the referee was the only official but he had two assistants and still caused mayhem by the sound of it. Who was the referee ? Was it an STM player sent off and recalled ? I bet the ref won’t mention that incident in his report.

You’re right, not an excuse. Was just a coincidence that you posted about it after another away day collapse hey?
The decision sounds absurd but in a 4-0 Away drubbing to a bottom 3 team? Cum on now!

Tim Drean, was the referee down for the fixture and the unfortunate two assistants who were probably just as amazed with the howler were Viv Nedin and Kevin Price (these guys were named on the WL Website). Golden rule of refereeing never change your decision (unless you are using VAR on trial), this referee broke the golden rule, his assistants must have been horrified. Before the referee police get on my case I have not said any of the officials had a bad game, I was not there, I am just stating that you cannot change your decision once it has been made, otherwise credibility is lost and the players lose respect. And Vogdog I agree I have never seen a referee write an incident report about himself before

Well deserved win for West end,stm were out battled by a determined home side!in fairness to the ref he made a mistake with the sending off but after a quick word with one of his assistants explained his error to both captains and both dugouts and recalled the player who was by the dugouts and not in the changing rooms!

A very shocking result. Can anyone enlighten us to what is going on at STM? sack their manager when flying high in the league, then getting stuffed 4-0 by bottom of the league. Makes me think they might have sacked the wrong guy!

And Vogdog I agree I have never seen a referee write an incident report about himself before I don’t know the full story to what happened here. But as long as the referee hasn’t restarted play after the red card he can actually call the player back and change the decision. However why anyone would do that in the first place is mental lol.

Makes me think they might have sacked the wrong guy! Stop Press: Valley Ram in defending Gareth Morgan shocker 😃 Every side has a bad day at the office let’s be fair and was anyone really shocked at this result? Really? These boys at STM are famously strong and very impressive at home but have always lacked the ability to adjust and show the discipline needed Away from home, that’s happened year after year to be fair. I’ve never had the runaround so much in a game as I did in my one visit to St Mellons, but when they came to us later in season it was like playing a different side. I predict a massive win for them in their next home game
