Well done Neil Warmock and his boys after putting in a solid performance against a very bland and one paced Bolton Wanderers tonight. There was only one team in the box seat throughout. With Deby losing it just made the evening sweeter and proves what a brilliant division it is. The copious amounts of wine and food added a real purpose to our evening. Over at the Plastic Paradise the Penygriiff bandwagon forced a win to prove the Dogometer correct in what sounded fortunate circumstances with an own goal and penalty to get the win after being 1-0 down at half time. The top of the 1st division is shaping into a fairly exciting chase. Anyone here on this forum at the Griff game tonight? If so were they lucky or was 2-1 flattering for Cwmamman? How did the officials fare ?

Poor first half from Penybont. A little unfortunate to concede a pen though to take them 1-0 down. Good pressure from Penybont leading up to the ht whistle could have been 1-1. Then a strong start to the second half, the own goal was a good chance but striker lost it and somehow defender scores OG with sliding boot. Penybont pen was in the distance but they looked like scoring soon anyway. From 2-1 up Cwmamman were playing well and I would say fair result was a 1 goal Penybont win or draw. Cwmamman deserved a point to be honest. Ref was fine for me although quite lenient giving a only yellow for what was literally a rugby tackle from penybont defender.

Thankyou for your reply Goscar. With it being relatively tight at the top of your league I suppose a win for Penygriff in absolutely any fashion is all that matters. Add to the equation that opponents such as last night’s are battling for their lives to avoid the drop and it can only be looked at as a positive. Sorry to ask further but what formation did he go with last night and did he keep the sMe formation for the entire 90 or change it when you were 1-0 down ?

I am a neutral and not sure on the formation to be honest. Winger for penybont named tyler was a stand out player for me. You would not have thought there was such a gap between the two teams.

The player I think you are talking about is Tyler Roche....he's ex-Cardiff City. Penybont recently brought him in from Gosport. I saw some young kid was down the Cwmamman game and someone was filming it too. But what a hoot, he missed the Penybont equaliser as he was investigating the Penybont directors box..............only trouble was it was a dug out! Penybont re-signed the other Georgievsky from Carmarthen too and Nathan Renfree back from Oz. These could impact during the tail-end of the season. Interesting to see if Griffiths plays either of them against Bluebirds on Sat down at Bridge Meadow.
