Sadly Alun Evans passed away last night. He was instrumental in setting up the LOW and gave so much to the Welsh League. He was also a good friend. RIP Alun. www.faw.org.uk/news/FAW81411.ink

Didnt know him at the height of his powers but clearly a man of principle and vision. Always interesting and had something to offer at the WL meetings I saw him at. Thought he was dismissed too easily at times. The most you can say is "Did I make a difference?" He did!
Condolences to his family from all at Monmouth Town FC.

Very sad to see the most knowledgeable man in Welsh Football leave us. He was always there to help the clubs if he could. Will always be remembered.

Very sad news indeed! His knowledge & experience have been invaluable in the recent dramas within the league, and as a former UWIC man it's a double blow!
RIP AE!
