Congratulations to AFC Porth, the only Welsh League club left in the Welsh Cup, Not a game for the purists, but even for the non partisan this was a game full of incident and excitement. full marks must go to Cambrian, 3 players sent off and still their defence couldnt be breached, although Porth had the ball in the net on two occasions, both efforts were ruled offside. Also full marks to the officials who controlled it well, although I thought the sending off of Jones was harsh. Huw thanks for the tea and biscuits, although I was disapointed that I didnt get any faggots and peas, although Eric did offer to share his with me

No probs Scrill always welcome you know that. Them faggots, peas caused some arguments but seeing as me and the Chairman Neil Dowler were up there nice early to prepare we pre-ordered ours, still had pay though fair play them tuc shop girls dont miss atrick. Thought both sides tried play football but there was only ever going to be one winner that pitch !!, but we were jut glad for the game to go ahead. Thanks to the Ton supporters who made the effort glad we could give value for money. Credit the players of Cam, they defended like heroes, when the final whistle went they celebrated like a win, penalty shootout was tense, and Jarrad and his coaching staff very magnanimous in defeat glad I insisted on a 1 30pm kick off not 2pm as the FAW wanted, never would have finished. Thought ref had good game, but then I would say that as we finished with 11 v 8 ;D Mike was booked for backchat 1st, then a tackle, always walking a tight rope but can see what you are saying. Lee Mathews always involved in the centre midfield and again 2 yellows. The third sending off I thought was a disgracefull tackle, absolutely no place on a football field, a leg breaker. That boy needs anger management !! Proud of our discipline , been great all season only one sending off and dont get me started on that one , who was it against oh yeah Ton !!

Me and couple of Crows decided to take in that match as we were without a game, and despite the lack of goals there was still plenty to keep us glued to the action. For me it was surprising the number of yellows (and hence two reds) dished out - it didn't seem to be that dirty a game. The third (and straight) red was deserved, though i think the lunge was more desperate/reckless than malicious. He really wanted to score and was annoyed at himself for losing control of the ball i reckon. Still, you can't go lunging in like that. Two of us had the fagots and peas and both of us can give it a big thumbs up What do you reckon to the crowd? Between 180 and 250 we thought...?

Hard say on numbers we wanted big occasion so had couple youth teams, parents up before game for photos they stayed, the 2nds didint have game they dont pay, most youth section coaches and their players there they dont pay, quite few ex players they dont pay (they should ), had several of our sponsors ,they didnt and shouldnt pay so have wait for treasurer to do the math, Officilas were £120+ expenses , but its not about the money its the occasion and enjoyment by the spectators, come back soon. !!

I'm a believer in the attendance figure being the number of people in attendance who are not there in an official capacity. So reserves and youth players who have turned up to watch are spectators in my eyes!
It was a good crowd in my opinion. And we'll be back again I'm sure with food like that on offer ;-)
Good luck in the next round Huw: Carmarthen are struggling and definitely beatable...
