Maybe if I was the target of the 'abuse' I may feel different but I can't help feeling another avenue to promote, excite, engage people in WL football debate has been closed off

I can assure you that you certainly would feel differently if you were the subject of the abuse!
I share your view that it is sad that this has happened but really our frustration should be aimed at those idiots who posted what they did about a number of Clubs and individuals.
I still can't quite believe some of the things I had read on threads regarding a number of Gwent Clubs & thir officials shall we say as well as others. I think a lot of it was inflamatory to say the least and in my view was only a matter of time before something spilled over onto a pitch or spectator area at a game!
Don't forget this site was a slow burner when you started it, I am sure once we get some worthwile debates going again people will contribute.

Perhaps the low number of visits and posts proves that there just aren't that many people interested in the league (who aren't also connected with a club in an official capacity).
I mean it's not like if any of the clubs in any of the 3 divisions regularly get 3-figure crowds like in the north...
When asked: "who do you support" how many of you genuinely say your Welsh League club?

I'm sure quite a few of us do. If asked,the Street,Cardiff City,Liverpool, in that order.

Lee Couldnt agree more with you that taking the site members only has really taken the wind out of it sails .
We,ve come in for some stick on here & ive read numerous posts that are way of the mark.
However the vast majority of it opened up interesting debate & was harmless banter.
It was good to see such an interest being taken in welshleague football .

I think once people regain confidence in the forum. The members only move was the only way to stop the abuse, which it certainly has. The honest Welsh League Fans will come back in time Lee, stick with it mate. I see you not only got the FPFC, you have also landed the bloody Olympics!!!! Lol lol. Mr. Midas comes to mind. :-)

personally feel the site is much better for it being a members club, glad to see it void of posters hiding behind psuedonyms so they can make their point in a cowardice way.
Well done Lee for getting the site started and maintaining it well.
By the way we do get approx 100 attendance at every home game..lol.
