How the mighty have fallen.....game off at Punt Talbet tonight against Trundletown through failure of their floodlights. Did Voggie have this down as the result - if not why not? See the Russians are back again spreading some kind of propaganda on here. What's all this Russian stuff about?

Floodlight failure ! I wouldn’t “bet” on it... better odds on the fact that port didn’t want to field their youth team against mr Trundle and his pack of merry followers.

Pity game was down to be staged under lights as if it was a Saturday then in all probability Punt Talbet would be 3pts light. Hartley now left and having a punt at L Major; Hurley gone to Afan Lido and Hood confirmed on FAW list tonight is now a Barry Town Utd player. With no Reserve team how are they going to fulfil the remainder of their fixtures?

Ah that old chestnut the floodlights. That excuse stinks to high heaven and back given their circumstances. Punt Talbet Clown aka tax dodging punters are an absolute disgrace to Welsh football. No doubt if their lights were inspected right now they wouldn’t work. That’s simple to make happen. This is outrageous bordering criminal. They are in the poop. The managerial appointment and his methods are about as popular as a lepor in a health farm. Floodlights are not as simple and trouble free as some people without any electrical knowledge or experience may think. They are quite complex systems, we have seen many times on TV floodlight failure with Premiership teams down to Conference teams. These failures come using maintained lighting systems, so non-maintained systems are very prone to failure. As for "No doubt if their lights were inspected right now they wouldn’t work. That’s simple to make happen". Yes that is simple to do for the untrained eye but a qualified electrician with 3-phase experience would not take long to figure out the fault. These lights do not operate like switching on your kitchen light, in fact the minimum lighting required would be at least 18 2kw lamps, these will be 400 volt probably switched on in banks of 3 (each lighting tower) using separate high current contractors. When all 18 are on the current draw is very high, with all the components and wiring becoming very hot so many things can go wrong when dealing with three phase high current lighting on a dry day, add into the mix rain, damp and lack of maintenance this lighting failure is probably nothing to do with Port Talbot. They have had a bad few years you cant blame them for everything. in this example 36000 watts of power drawing 90 amps. That's the equivalent of Mr Vogdog buying 45 800 watt microwaves and switching them all on at once, I think his house would soon go dark aswell

Let’s give port a break they would never do anything like that it must have been those bloody broken lights which they religiously test hours and hours before the game.
BET you can’t sense the sarcasm in this post.

Port Talbot Town Football Club would like to announce that following lengthy discussions with their Legal Advisors, the club are considering legal proceedings to protect the good name and reputation of the club following unsubstantiated claims made by the current manager of Llanelli Town Football Club regarding the postponement of our Division One fixture on Friday evening due to floodlight failure. In addition, the club has requested both the Football Association of Wales and the Welsh Football League to further investigate the matter. The club is absolutely adamant that they will pursue every possible legal avenue in pursuit of rectifying the irreperable damage that has been caused to date. In regards to the floodlight situation, electric contractors are currently undertaking extensive work to get them back up and running in time for the Port Talbot League Under-16s Cup final which takes place at Victoria Road Stadium on Wednesday evening. A big thank you must go to RMJ Electrical Services for undertaking this complex repair. I have no connection to either club Just found it on twitter

No doubt the situation was rectified quite simply....a shilling went in the meter. Good on you Punt Talbet though for taking Llanelly accusers to court.......you can't have anyone going around making wild and unjustified claims like that! What's the betting on who will win once the legal eagles are on the case?

Punt must have had a Yankee up by affording legal help or maybe Bet365 are sponsoring them. I’m scratching my head trying to make sense of how they will by trying to repair something they state is irreparable? Doesn’t that contradict itself? If I was their solicitor I’d be asking for my dosh up front before I picked a pen up.

Come on Mikeyred that’s not fair. They’re a fine institution and an example to all. To back this up I hear they’re installing Mr Aizlewood on a 3 week contract until Feb 26th as their joint manager to help alongside the current fellow pillar of society Cortez Belle. I suppose Aize will also be useful in the pre season for arranging friendlies “behind closed doors” I’m hear all week 🤣🤣🤣🤣 'Good name' absolutely pissing hilarious. Port Talbot have never had a good name. See you in court 😉😉
