Just been told that the S Wales Alliance Div One fixture between Cornelly Utd and leaders Cefn Cribwr this Saturday has been switched from Meadow Street to Penybont FC. Forward thinking on behalf of both clubs as more wet weather is likely to hit fixture-lists this weekend. So, if other games in the Bridgend area are called off, fans could take in what is set to be another vibrant derby clash. Kick-off at the Kymco Stadium is 2pm and admission is via a £2 match programme.

hardly El Classico so I won’t be cancelling my appointment to have my bollocks and armpits involuntarily waxed. In fact circumcision by a blind man wielding a broken bottle sounds more inviting.

Not quite sure what the relevance is of that Voggie rant, but there is massive potential for the game to break through the 20-strong attendance that Penybont usually get for Welsh League matches. By the way, Penybont and South Wales FA for once displayed some "vision" in staging a game that in all probability would have been called off owing to the state of the pitch. But alas it will be a Voggie-free zone.

I to am not sure what is the relevance of a post on here about an Area 2nd string match between, admittedly, division leaders, but a middling opposition. Unless the OP is trying to have a dig at Penybont crowds, or lack of. By the way, there's a cracking game in the Gwent County 2nd div, probably to be played on plastic, between Abertillery Excelsiors and Ynysddu, anyone interested? No didn't think so.

The relevance is...........that with the possibilty of a lot of games being off this Sat due to waterlogged pitches then a Bridgend derby clash (albeit it at S W Alliance Div One level) at a Welsh League Div One ground is better than nothing.

The 2Gs on 3G . Guppy verses Griff. Cambrian verses Penygriff is a banker to be played on the all weather surface. But the Welsh Cup at Pontyforest looks the game of the day if the weather permits. I see Ponty getting edged out 2-1 against Pendarren but hope I’m wrong because I’d like to see the foresters continue their excellent progress in a fine season so far. If you’re looking for Saturday afternoon dogging then you’re guaranteed some action in the Gwentshire derby with Bundy Village verses Cumbran Celtic. The Causeway car park opens at 5.30am.....clothing and morals are optional. The relevance is...........that with the possibilty of a lot of games being off this Sat due to waterlogged pitches then a Bridgend derby clash (albeit it at S W Alliance Div One level) at a Welsh League Div One ground is better than nothing.

Thanks for the information and cannot understand why UPG is getting a hard time over sharing some information which may be useful to people.
Agreed that it does show some much needed foresight in terms of staging a game that would have undoubtedly fallen foul of the weather.
