Everything that's bad about shocking refereeing is summed up in a 10 minute edition of video footage of the Cambrian v Monmouth Town welsh cup game last week. Just check www.youtube.com/watch?v=avx-3nXhS8g&feature=player_embedded#! or the website to access the footage- www.cambrianfc.co.ukTo make matters worse there are linesmen and just look at the one who is excellently positioned to flag for a penalty only to meekly drop his flag on the say so of the idiotic referee. There are reckless tackles, handballs to name just a few. Total incompetence. Absolutely shocking bordering criminal. Anyone know the referee?

The Ref was poor all game and his attitude was shocking. He didn,t even award a free kick for the tackle, in any other league its a straight red! And to say what he did to the cambrian player sums him up! The player reacted at what he said by pointing at him and saying you cant speak to me like that only to get sent off! and will now miss 3 games. What will happen to the ref for what he said? NOTHING!
The trouble is with this ref is he thinks the game is all about him. To gain respect you have to earn it!

I heartily agree with what's said, although I've not seen this ref it does seem that most officials love to be the centre of attention, irritating players and fans alike and then wondering why they get a mouthful.

As you can see from the photo the ref couldnt have been in a bettre position. And he still didnt give a free kick. How poor is that?

Its understandable and in some points justified the frustration aired in the posts but lets all appreciate this is a human being we are referring to and we all make mistakes. YES he made more than a few in the game and was inconsistent throughout but hopefully he will look at the match on Cambrians website take on board and learn from his errors (cameras do not lie). Hes a young guy and is still learning the game. I'm sure he will want to put to right his errors and most importantly move on. I would now like to make a FOOTBALL point as this a FOOTBALL forum. I thought first half Monmouth looked a real class side and can justifiably feel hard done by going in 2-0 half time. From a Cambrian point of view they probably felt relieved given they had 99% possession and almost 99 opportunities to score the week before in their league game which ending 0-0. I felt this knocked Monmouth off their stride and didn't regain their momentum in the second half. That said it shows the quality that Cambrian have in their squad. The second half they stepped up a gear and Monmouth found it very difficult to deal with. The sheer speed & power along with the quality they posses they didn't look back and continued to turn the screw on the visitors. I have no doubt Monmouth will do well this season. They have some fantastic individuals and play exciting football. The organisation of the team was excellent and they showed a professional attitude . I would like to wish both teams Good Luck for the rest of the season.

you cant keep giving that ref chances to improve.he has been like it for a couple of years. so far up his own backside it aint true!!!! wot do the referees assessors do when they assess people like him? like many people have said, his attitude to the players on the pitch absolutely stinks, he rarely gets the important decisions right and like a lot of refs will book players for what he perceives as back chat, but rarely make a decision like that for a bad challenge.

That's fair enough then.. I haven't seen him before. I have heard that he called the young lad who got set off from Cambrian a Big Time youth player and he was not a good enough player to speak to him (this for no reason). The youngster was crying when he got sent off to. Now that's not defendable (it would be interesting to find out what the lad had).
