Gents,
Needless to say I am not the happies man right now, but, it is the Committee's job to do what they think is best for the future of Croesyceiliog FC. No man is bigger than any club and this case is no different.
Some of the stuff written on this thread is scandalous, but I would just like to move on rather than get involved in any of it. I am sure that the good people at Croesy (there are many of them) will also want this. I certainly don't want the club affairs dragged through the mud as seems to happen on this message board.
If Croesy think a new Man is what's needed for the future of the club, that is their perogative, no matter what I may think of the decision.
Although I know it is unlikely, I would like everyone to move on. The team has an important game at Penrhiwceiber on Saturday and everyone's focus should be on winning that game for the Club and then the week after at Garden Village.
It isn't really important what the reasons were, though I must confess this is the first I have heard about social network sites, the point is the Committee wouldn't have made such a decision unless they thought it was right.
So, in closing, I would like to ask people to stop the pot shots at Croesy, hopefully then we can all move on, and enjoy football again!
Good Luck Croesy!
Gareth Morgan

i don't know why slating newport county would be grounds for croesy's manager to be sacked? what a ridiculous statement.
as for slating members of croesy's committee, i'm sorry but there are some absolute fucking morons on that committee who know nothing about football but continue to spout off as if they're alan hansen.
GM inherited a side that had lost great players like pat o'hagan, the pattimore brothers, all 3 jenkins brothers and more for various reasons; injury, age, form and fitness. he put together a team from nothing and managed 2 respectable league finishes and a trophy to boot.
when Gareth Morgan was appointed as manager, cwmbran town were in the same league and in my opinion missed the chance to appoint a top class young coach. look where the town are now! celtic, with their youth academy, have gone on to better things but croesy have done well with no budget at all. i don't know which of their players was asking for a better style of play but given the pitch they have to play on it's not unreasonable to play a direct style of football!
sorry croesy, you've fucked it up this time.

definately think your right about the snake in the camp knowing football in Cwmbran!! Shocking decision and so glad I left the welsh league to go gwent county. Its the chairman and committees that need to have a long hard look at how there clubs are run and remember they are not as big and knowlegable as they think and want to be!! Andy, I am pretty sure you went Gwent County because you run out of Welsh League sides to do the disappearing act on. You must be the only commercial manager who reckons they are having meetings with at least two companies to bring at least a five figure sum into the club then never attend another meeting and next time your seen is as a physio at another club. And we know how much you wanted to go back to Croesy, you did put it all over facebook last season you were returning but you were never seen.

I've read everything that has been said & I have to say that we as players know that we have let Gareth & the management team down, as we simply haven't ben at the races recently, although this coming Saturday will be the 1st time since the last game of last season that we have had every 1st team player available.
It was said last night that Gareth blames the senior players for letting him down, which I know was never said, as Gareth would never do that - he is a man of honour & dignity.
Also, people forget that when we tried to play football from the back last time, we ended up getting relegated & leaking goals all over the place.
I for 1 will sincerely miss Gareth & his brother Rhodri & know that it will take a long time to replace them.
All the best for the future Gaffer

As for being with a few clubs yeah again your right but you got to be happy at a club and work with the right people. Unfortunately my job came first has it pays my mortgage and not training or friendly matches when i work way most of the week. Not here for a slanging match or commented on what happened on Gareth for one so until you name who you are you are more than welcome to ring me anytime with your grievence! have a good season!

maybe Croesy should have a new nick name. How about The Titanic ? They'll be going down faster than their nick name

I totally agree with the last post. It's done mr Morgan has gone. The commitee have come to this decision and it's there club which I'm sure they will have the best interests at heart, if mr Morgan was as good as some people are saying on this board why has he not been head hunted by a bigger club Give the players a week and all will be forgotten, morgan will move on to another club and that's how it goes. I just feel it's no ones place to be criticising cafc on this board as if they were not happy with results and certain behaviour traits of there manager then that's there prerogative surely?? I'm sure mr Morgan is sat reading these posts with a little bit of his ego bashed , but he will move on as well as his former team. And lets all take stock here the club ain't Manchester united and mr Morgan is certainly no sir Alex ferguson

to committee everyone is entitled to their opinion, but echoing the views on the last few sensible people on here good luck to Gareth for the future and to Croesyceiliog afc for the rest of the season. My remarks about committees were not aimed at Croesyceiliog directly but in general. Also to gwent football i was asked to go back to Croesy last season by Gareth and it was overturned by the chairman and not a case i didnt show up! I respect their decision on this and have watched them many times since. Although certain people have comments about me lets actually get back to writing about football matters which is what this board is about!

Those who know me will know im the Secretary at Croesyceiliog and others that don't well let me say I have the best interests of the club.
We have kept a low profile for the sake of our club and out of respect to Gareth. I feel this message board has been taking over by many people just looking to cause trouble.
Rightly or wrongly(and many people seem to have a view) we decided to go in a different direction. We do not have anyone lined up as that would have been disrespectful of us to been talking to anyone behind Gareth's back. It was not a easy decision and the full committee discussed the issue at length.
I personally wished Gareth all the best on Tuesday and we as a club hope he finds a role at a Welsh League club soon. People know Gareth but I did say to him if he needs a reference tell them to contact me directly. I also spoke with Rhodri on Tuesday and wished him all the best.
Time will tell if we have made the right decision but all we want now is for the all whole club to focus on the future and start from Saturday and Gareth in a new job soon then hopefully this story can be put to one side. As i am sure there will be other issues in the Welsh league that many people don't agree with throughout the season.
