nige i beg to differ any good manager whether he is from Cardiff Swansea or Timbuktu will be out their watching other teams and will know how good or bad teams are.i dare say at this moment in time managers in div 3 are aware of main players in the bluebirds team for instance and will be preparing for the challenge.by the way what was the game like.

Haven't got a clue, I didn't go!
Perhaps they will have an idea granted but majority of the supporters won't as they will generally only watch their own team and see opposition players twice a season.
Anyway, like was said earlier in the thread, should b a good division 3 this season!

Looking forward to this one, should be a ding-dong battle, top v second if llanwern win tonight. Mishman you were right it was a ding dong , street 2-0 up then 3-2 down then 4-3 up then 4-4 . Good midfield battle , streets midfield and strikers did well but llanwern were too strong up front for the street back four and if they had taken all their chances llanwern would have won it , should have been 5-4 right at the end but llanwern player put it inches wide after going through. both sides were missing a few key players but good advert for div 3 football.

Can't argue with any of that Dave, suffice to say if you have a Jon Parkinesque centre forward you play to that strength, but something I wouldn't pay to watch every week.A great division all the same.

a good game Saturday, thought the bridged street keeper very indecisive probably at fault for three goals i think bs will need to add to be the finished article they struggled at times lantern will be in the three, after all Ive read about bs being the team to beat as they are its only a matter of time, draw fair result.

Watched this game Saturday, bridgend street are a good side with weaknesses sugar needs support in midfield he cant do it all on his own,the keeper is not demanding enough and to be fair to the lad needs another season in a lower league to gain more experience.the manager should go for Leon cosker a very solid keeper and not first choice at goytre united at the moment.bs supporters told me that they are waiting on players to come back in after injury that well may be i think they need them sooner than later.a keeper, midfielder, and defender and they should clean up.llanwern where strong the big lad up front sets up the play but his support is not great, they passed the ball well they are a similar team to undy and will be up there at the end of season, and i agree with others this is a very good division this year.

Are you saying Undy play up to a target man? Not having a go, just asking if thats opinion? I go to watch them regularly and they are one of the best footballing sides in the division and their three best players are lads who have been there a few seasons now. A guy who i think has gone to LB this season, a guy who plays CM and another player who floats around the game but i think is a striker?? Just wanted to clarify that you wont see any knocking it up to a target man at Undy. I see that the draws this weekend means the league is wide open this year!

Not sure if Undy play with a target man but the Llanwern striker played for them for a good few years.

I did not mean that undy play the same style as llanwern i.e.target man i meant that they are very much a passing team,i watched undy down at bridgend street and they are by far the best i have seen there this season. i also watched briton ferry at their place and they also try to play football, what i do believe unlike some pundits on this site is that bridgend street are not going to have it all their own way.i have watched the top 5 so far this season and there is not much between them.but i reiterate my humble opinion 3 more quality players at Bridgend street or indeed any of the top 5 and a gap will start to appear.

Chris summers is a target man ? and a good one at that . I thought street midfield played well just the back four were woeful . According to llanwerns bench on saturday thats the first time that the big lad has played this season due to their captain and two others missing the fixture . Both sides should be top six end of season but its going to be very tight .

Was a great game to watch, end to end stuff, but I think that Llanwern just edged it will their performance.
The Manager seems to have got it going this year, total change compared to last you. I believe he won his first welsh cap recently in welsh veterans squad.
Congratulations if that's true!!!!

the big lad at llanwern you refer to is gaz southern and he was only at undy for a year but struggled to get in the team in the gwent county and left before the start of last season, you're right about the other 3 though, as far as i'm aware none of them have played for any other club; they will be right there come the end of the season

So its Bridgend st, Ferry and Undy for promotion, by the thoughts of most peoples opinions on this board. Should make for a good season.
