The Goss coming out of Gwent and its set in stone apparently is that caerleon manager Relish is taking over atdiv 3 outfit Goytre this week , the cash has stopped at Caerleon and they are now in the same boat as lots of clubs having to attract players with out the cash incentive so hes bailing out , also the bulk of the caerleon reserve side are reported to have left , this smacks of another Caldicot situation.brewing , unfortunately MONEY TALKS !!! not loyalty.

Well if the Welsh League had had the balls and thrown teams out of the league that didn't pass the ground criteria for certain Caerleon would have been one of them.

But they havnt, it is also a problem if any of those teams have Welsh League management on board.

Its good to see people talking a load of old cobblers on here..caerleon did n't have any money last season..unlike a lot of other teams in division 1 and 2 we play because we want to play for a good manager (in rello) - no other reason! Caldicot had chance to change there manager pre season but stuck with old school mike dowler, they are now realising what was said when he was appointed that many players would leave and look else where namely Undy FC and neigbours Chepstow Town. Unfortunately it seems that money does talk with many players! ;D

Caerleon really not have money last year? I would be very impressed if Caerleon attracted both Keiron Blackburn and Cortez Belle, quality players at Division 2 level, without paying.

Anyone who plays football knows you play for your team mates and your club...having a good manager is a bonus as you respect what they do!! As for Caerleon having no money, why does that suprise you? Tez and Kieran both played for £0's and were there because they wanted to play with friends and it was local to them...some of you really need to get a life and stop worrying about what happens at other clubs..worry about your own club

hang on now caerleon boy,
you changed your mind now ! you first said you play for your manager and now you are saying you play for the manager and the club, make your mind up ! Tez as you call him did apply for the caldicot job a few weeks ago and so where is the loyalty there caerleon was just a stop gap for him.keiron was still "on loan" from the county on about £150 probably a game.If they both re- sign for you then i will hold my hands up and say fair enough but time will tell.

In answer to your statements 24/7...you must know cortez personally as he did indeed apply but pulled out due to reasons you will never know..kierans "loan" as you put it from the county was so he could keep fit if needed..again I know that he is was or not getting paid from caerleon (maybe from the county, but he is still affiliated to them!) Tez wont be signing next season as he is thinking of playing with his mates down the ym seconds and Im a 100% sure they wont be offering money...

did someone really suggest that Caerleon were paying Keiron £150 a game? get real!
i believe he was still on contract with Newport so I'm sure he was getting some pocket money but Caerleon wouldn't have been paying him that much, no way.

I hear Keiron blackburn is one of the players who will be following Relish to Goytre this week when it is confirmed hes leaving Caerleon but not on £150 a game although word is they have cash to throw about , Gunther , Davies and Palmer are other names being banded about locally who will leave Caerleon and set sail for Goytre , You heard it hear first!!!.
