I notice also that the fixtures end in March.... that means 4 and half months without football. THANKS TO ALL THE CLUBS THAT VOTED FOR 16 TEAMS PER LEAGUE.

I wouldn't worry too much, December is usually a wipe-out, so i'd expect teams to still be playing well into April.

only the last 2 seasons, as we've had a couple of hard winters. Don't remember many drama's before that.

shame we can't play september to april, then we could all get a full season of cricket in as well.

Forgive me please for what may be stating the bleeding obvious, but with cup draws and weather bound to claim at least say 6 or 7 games during the season, won't this mean that clubs can generally re-schedule for saturdays and the ODD midweek game until the end of April - when all other leagues barring the Premiership end.
Surely this is preferable to the farce of some clubs like Newport Civil Service this year and Crosyceiliog last year having to play 3 times a week for 6 weeks to get their fixtures complete, and costing both a realistic shot at promotion in those respective seasons?
If we have another terrible winter now, at least we will still finish early enough for the players to have a decent enough break before starting back. Some clubs have have 4.5 weeks off maximum before starting back pre season training the last 2 seasons!
I know which I would prefer, and it sure isn't 3 games a week and risking a divorce!

Think its more to do with the state of their pitches than anything else.

wouldn't those away games coincide with the fact they lose their ground to cricket at the start and end of the season?
