i agree this was hard on goytre but then if they had one there games it woudnt of come to this simple!!

Crib, I think thats a bit unfair and all they expected was a level playing field not a highly dubious result to say the least. As regards winning games, Goytre,Pontypridd and Monmouth won more games than anybody else.

Just read an article in the local rag and it left me somewhat confused! Pontypridd Town have put in an official complaint to the Welsh League, asking them to investigage the outcome of this game! They are saying that it cost them promotion??

The bit I dont get is that even if Caerau hadnt won 13-0, Pontypridd Town still would not have been promoted, as Goytre still finished above them anyway!!!

No, that report was wrong, Pontypridd just sent in a letter of complaint to the league knowing that by Corus winning they couldnt go up anyway. They were just putting in a formal complaint hoping that action would be taken and that Goytre would be given the final promotion place which had been taken off them by Treowen's actions.
