I heard the same rumour about Celtic,that a Newport based manager has been approached by the club.Someone that has had a Div 3 club for a number of years and fancys a change.

any news on the buds job??
And also has the caldicot job been confirmed yet!! All going on in gwent at the moment could there be more twists and turns I wonder???

Have heard from a good source that the Celtic vacancy may be filled from someone currently in another job not a million miles from Celtic Park - if it's true get ready for some fireworks!!

mark parfitt was quoted in the argus saying he would not be leaving cwmbran town to go back to celtic, and i can't see croesyceiliog's gareth morgan moving across town to join the celtic either.
so unless anthony hudson has received a better offer, i can't think who you mean?

That was my initial reaction as well - but the story seems to be growing here to the point where players have been discussing it!
I would still be surprised if it happens but we don't know the internal goings on - maybe he wants a new challenge after the narrow failures this season at the last hurdle!?!?
I guess we will just have to watch this space

Newport Civil Services coach Burnham is the driving force behind them last year,they went from almost relegation to almost promotion with virtually the same players.And I seem to remember him doing well as coach at llanwern a few years ago with laurence owen.maybe just maybe...for the celtic job

The latest i have heard is lawrence owen is being lined up from llanwern , he has been there for around 6 seasons and kept them afloat with just one side and little else , not heard the civil rumour but burman is definately the brains behind civil and it wouldnt be a shock if owen took him with him if he took the celtic job as i understand they are friends but ex albion boss elwick has been number two at llanwern this season just gone , thats the latest news from the newport area , its red hot down here with rumours

been pulling some trucks along the track, when i stumble along Laurence Owen being linked with the Cwmbran Celtic job, can someone enlighten me on this then??
He is a proper manager mind, i worked with him b4 i left to go to Undy because I wasn't going to feature for more than 10 games i requested.
Is there any other people linked with the job, what bout Micky Copeman, Mark Parfitt wouldn't they want the job..
