It is a sad day when i have to post on here that all my previous posts are coming true. Gwent county league is only weeks away and now at last counting crows you agree with all the moaning and groaning from myself. We had the chance to change all the people who run the club but sadly we have buried our heads in the sand. 3 relegations in same ammount of years and now facing gwent county football. Our wonderfull chairwoman had promised so much and delivered so little. It would be nice for you to answer for our clubs demise but sadly you will say nothing and do nothing. Is there any chance you and the muppets who run our club into the ground to resign. TAXI FOR PURCELL PLZZZZZZZZZ
PS YOU WILL PROBABLY DELETE THIS AS IT ONLY THE TRUTH.

I agree Delph, we are heading for the GC. See previous posts. Will u still follow the club next season? There seems to be a 50/50 split at the mo. I will of course. A team is for life We will have to agree to disagree on who and what is to blame, and perhaps more importantly WHEN things started to go wrong and who was "in charge" at that time. Perhaps Colley should have moved us to a purpose built ground rather than spend 2.5k on wages? I hope this thread isn't deleted. And I hope that you answer my questions as I have answered yours. Do you think we should look to move away from the stadium and instead look to develop our own ground? Cheers.

Counting Crows, you have to agree that 3 relegations in 3 seasons (allthough this hasnt happened yet!), is not acceptable in any club. I dont know who is at fault but surely change can only help.
where would you move to? any ideas?

I agree, it's not good at all. You could argue that 2 league restructures spread over 2 seasons haven't exactly helped though (increasing the relegation zones). But no excuses this year: only 1.1 goal per game tells the story and the table doesn't lie.
Hmmm, change....perhaps. I can see your point. However, in the last 6/7 seasons the club has had 3 different chairmen and now 5 different managers. It could be argued that yet more change might just perpetuate the problem...?
Anyway, I don't want to get into another argument with Delph. We (hopefully) have agreed to disagree on this matter ;-)
Most of the fans have made their peace with relegation - we shall hope to make some new friends, visit some new grounds, and bounce back stronger. Cheers!

Delph
you seem to me to be a bit of a c0ck. you keep on moaning and moaning, how about doing something about it.
I bet your that loser who @rse licks people when they are in the room and then slags them off once they leave.
People like you should be banned from football. Bet you were one of the City fans leaving after 15 minutes
Big love from Ebbw Vale

I agree with you counting crows on the change debate, it has to be for the good of the club or it wont work anyway.
as you seem to be in the know with CTFC, what are the plans if they do go down? Stadium costs must be high and in Gwent County would be mad! Is the club looking at other venues?

I think that delph must have a personal vendetta rather than it being related to football. If you ask anyone who has had anything to do with Cwmbran Town over the last couple of seasons they will ALL tell you that this lady has worked her socks off to keep the club going.
If you are looking for someone to blame you need to start looking at the people who say they care about the club but have sat back and done nothing to help. Delph sounds like you're the first candidate.

Albion you must be one of the people who never watch the club, all i am saying is the facts speak for themselves. League tables dont lie and she has run this club into the ground, and dont give me any crap shes worked her socks off she hasnt put any money into the club and shes played it off the cuff and has been caught out big time. Never mind bury your head in the sand like the other muppets who run the club. Another good point is the new manager will not hang around when they go down , hes told the players that already, great appointment

Is 'one person throwing money at a club' really the model you want the club to follow Delph? Is that not a bit risky? Did the club not learn its lesson when the money man at the time (Colley) decided he'd had enough of pouring money into the black hole of player wages? What would be the point of our current chair (or anyone else for that matter) pouring money into player wages just to get to WLD1? There's no prize money for winning the D1 title you know. If you only answer one of my questions this calendar year Delph, can it please be this one: Who is their right mind would give away their hard-earned money to pay a bunch of semi-pro players to win a division that doesn't give out prize money? I'm not being sarcy, i'm genuinely interested. The people who run Afan Lido and Bridgend are putting money in so as to reach the WPL, where there is prize money. But as our ground will never again be eligible for WPL football, winning D1 is pretty pointless at the moment IMO... Please keep this thread going by everyone promising not to use bad language or reverting to name calling

Yes the game is up the Crows are going to go down. I have watched this club for twenty plus years. it hurts to watch the team now. Every thing has its time, even the bloody Roman empire eventually fell. Instead of screaming and shouting I prefer to remember the good times, and boy oh boy were they good times!!! I am a Cwmbran lad and my family on both sides were Cwmbran families before the new town, so the achievements of this small club filled me with pride, no matter how they were achieved. It may not be over yet, perhaps next season they will rise again, who knows perhaps Delph will come on board as Chairman!

albion, in fairness everything he has stated is FACT, the personal bits arent nice but whoever he / she is you cant deny the facts and after todays terrible result it seems as if it could even be the end of Cwmbran Town FC.

how exactly is a slender defeat away from home at Division 3's IN FORM team a "terrible result"
I am all for criticism where due, but this gives the impression that they just lost at home to Porthcawl or something

Delph who are you? Because I dont ive seen you around the club based on other comments by other people, I could mention names too who I think you are but I dont think your worth it. Shall we play a game of guess who?
When I say I dont think your worth it I will explain in a number of points a) your posts this season. - not one of them has been about motivating the current team or management. Some of the players attitudes could be questioned however id say 80% of the players are fully committed. As amatuer footballers that pay to play for the club (yes play its a £3 pontoon per week, check out the website, no brown envelopes these days) its no doubt dishearting to see negative posts every week. Do you still hand out brown envelopes at your club? b) where are you? - you criticise from behind a keyboard and hide behind a screen, your points im sure would be taken on by Carolynn, if you were willing to point them forward in a constructive way. have you self inflicted a ban from the club? c) commitee views - following on from my last point, notice i only said carolynn and not the commitee. Carolynn is the commitee. She is the heart and soul of the club, have you seen her before and after the games? She does everything, other commitee members can be questioned for there lack of actions and passion for the club. All you have done is taken a big pop at the only person that is working to keep the club alive, if you feel so strongly about the club, how about working for or with it instead of letting it demise. do you have personal vendetta with the chairwoman about previous issues relating to the club? d) matches - youve never posted about the performances, leading me to think that you havent been to many games this season, so many turning points that you have missed on the pitch, but all you seen interested in is slagging off the team and the chairwoman, which leads to me think that your involved with another club making you busy on a saturday, does this give any more clues away to your identify? I think so. e) change - you have had the chance to change things but you never came forward, how many agms, egms and meetings have been held over the past three years? This season even the players and some management staff have been helping out with the fundraising and putting ideas forward to strengthen the club, where was your voice? Where you at training for another club? f) links with players - your posts tell of you talking to players so you clearly have a connection with players at this club, most of what you talk of course is complete noncense (from your last post - the manager is committed for next season already) have you been involved with the club during the past? g) relegation and muppets - yes the club are on the verge of another relegation, this time to the gwent county. However this a major issue? How many clubs have dropped out of the league or maybe just survived dropping out of the league and bounced back stronger. Hull, brighton, swansea, hereford, aldershot, etc etc. Muppets to resign? Do you want a football club? Or are you involved in football club that is stable and doing well?
Who many cards are left now on the board? a) you still hand out envelopes at your club b) youve self inflicted a ban at the club c) you have a personal issue with the chairwoman about a past club footballing issue d) your involved with a club on a saturday e) you train with another club when meetings are on f) youve been involved with the club in the past g) your involved in a club that is doing well this season
Ive narrowed it down to two names already. Not that matters. Best of luck to the players and management for the remaining three cup finals of the season.
Hugh - Cwmbran Town Fan
