This topic may upset a few people so don't be surprised if you receive some abuse! You're right though, it's very tight. I think only Porthcawl are really adrift at the mo. The other relegation places (3, 4, 5?) are 'up for grabs' as it were. Tranfer deadline day today for the WL, so teams need to get the right players in.

Yeh, your right there !! But its the same as last year, you have to finish "mid table" to be safe its absurd !!
I agree that Porthcawl are slightly adrift at the moment but there is still a long way to go and with injuries and player availability for away midweek games for everybody, squad strength will be a big factor in the run in,its very open and a lot to play for half of the division.
Any rumours on any "deadline day" transfers ?

Is it 3 or is it 5 ?
The Official WL site has a report that says its "unclear" at the moment of the relegation !!! Will the goalposts be moved again mid season ?

I'd say it definitely a minimum of 4 because Gwent and SW are odds-on to provide a team each. So 4 down and 2 up makes the division 16 like the other 2 divisions. If Haverfordwest are replaced by Afan Lido then that keeps the status quo. However, if Lido don't go up and Haverfordwest come down anyway (because of Connah's Quay obtaining the domestic licence), then i assume D1 will relegate an extra team to maintain 16 in the division (bit unfair on the team in 13th). This will then cascade down, making it 5 dropping out of D3. Hope that makes sense! I guess only 3 will go down if: * Haverfordwest are replaced by Afan Lido * 2 come up to D3 * AND the rumour about a certain D2 club is correct, that they'll take voluntary demotion to one of the South Wales leagues.... Right, where are the paracetamol....

Porthcawl - Gone!
My bet for the rest is:
Tredegar Town Cwmamman Untd Cwmbran Town (this is an example of what can happen if your too sure of yourselves!)
South Gower i think will stay up.

Not sure what you mean re: your comment about us? The majority of our fans have been predicting relegation for a while now!! ;-)
For the record I too believe we will join Porthcawl in dropping out of the league. But I think it'll be South Gower and Cwmamman who join us.
We'll be making new friends and visiting new grounds next season, and perhaps it's time to find a new ground for ourselves what with Gwent County ground criteria only needing a railed-off pitch and changing facilities...?
