An entertaining 2-2 draw at the Willows in this local derby, which saw the mish go two down inside 1/2 an hour against a side containing 5 former street men plus ex manager gary proctor.A decent crowd turned out for this one,and after conceding two poxy goals the street battled back well to gain a point which IMHO could have been all 3 on the second half performance.Good luck to everyone this season......Kim.

I see that Doddsy is still chasing the coin for a game of football, did he play last night, i saw him play last season and he looked like he was running with a sack of spuds on his back so surprised to see a club are still prepared to spend cash on him when there are younger fitter legs out there who could do a job. Did Ross Taylor-Gibbs play for bridgend st.

I see that Gary Proctor has picked up quite a few of the Pontypridd Town squad from last season.

I see that Gary Proctor has picked up quite a few of the Pontypridd Town squad from last season. thanks mishman and dannyg, There's no loyalty with a lot of players and some will move around mercilessly for the sake of a few quid but it doesn't guarantee anything apart from a club or individual skinning themselves in the long run. Money didn't buy quins 3 points last night. My cousin played for the quins years ago so I've always had a soft spot for them and hope that this guy isn't ruining the fabric of the club by using cash as a short term tool to massage his own ego as what has been suggested by one or two people in the know. Similar happened at Barry (and on a lesser scale Ponty) on a much bigger scale in past seasons and the long term result is for all to see.

Yes Kim you got it spot on there mate it was an entertaining game watched by a healthy crowd with some good football both teams had chances to win the game could have gone either way to be fair the mish will do well this season and could well be up there come the end of season unlike some people on this site I will never slag off any individual players or be rude enough to cowardly criticise individual players good luck for the season Kim look forward to having a pint with you down the club regards shugs
